Re: Demo release! v0.1
The characters all appear now, which is a fairly big improvement. I just tried to loot the corpse of one of the bandits, however, and for whatever reason I was unable to exit the loot screen.

Re: Demo release! v0.1
Fairly major bug; none of the character models are being displayed; only the swords. My graphics settings are as follows, and I've installed the latest physx driver and dx9 stuff, and while I don't have the latest drivers, I do have very recent drivers. I'm downloading the latest drivers now to see ...

Re: I think i just made a mighty find
The idea was inspired by Dwarf Fortress; a game in which the dev has thought of literally everything. It's like a cross between dungeon keeper, sim city, the hobbit and nethack that somehow works and is extremely entertaining.

Re: I think i just made a mighty find
One idea: simply determine what the world would be like ten years from the PC's death for the next character, based on which factions were strongest and what they tended to do with their power.

Personally, I'd prefer the latter. If you die, you die, but that doesn't mean the world comes to an end.

Re: When kenshi will be out...
If a valid key gets passed around too much I will notice and I can disable that key (no more updates). Also I can modify the code slightly every update so it has to be re-cracked. At the end of the day though nothing is un-crackable (except mmorpgs), so there is no point getting too uptight with th...

Re: Just had an idea that would help out Kenshi
Most of the companies that set game ratings and suchlike demand to see everything, regardless of whether it is available in the actual game. That was mostly caused by someone woman creating an Oblivion mod in which you could see female PCs' tits using only material available in the game itself.
Re: Aging
Might I suggest something along the lines of Stockholm Syndrome? Early on, the slaves won't be trustworthy, but later on they'll get used to their lives and will willingly fight to protect people who only months ago they would have loved to kill slowly.

Re: Poll: How many cores you got?
The processor of a computer has one or more cores, each core essentially being a second CPU that shares the same resources. Because a CPU is only capable of performing one task at once, each additional core improves the speed. A Core 2 Duo has two cores, as do the more recent AMD processors, while a...

Re: Poll: How many cores you got?
Mine's a dual core AMD Athlon64 3800+. I've had it for a while, and can't actually upgrade it now until I just go ahead and build a brand new rig.

Re: Poll: How many cores you got?
The CPU requirement should be at a similar level to the graphics and RAM requirements, in my opinion: if the game can be run on 512MB RAM and a GeForce 4 32MB graphics card, then single core processors should definitely be supported as they'd be the only processors in a rig with the other two. On th...

Re: Survey: Weapon skills
Anything over 90 proof will burn, just so you know. Pulling someone's arm off is somewhat absurd though. Pulling it out of its socket, isn't too difficult, but skin and muscles are considerably tougher than you give it credit.

Re: Survey: Weapon skills
I'd probably go with something similar to option 3; start off generic but then add specialisations once the generic skills reach a certain level.

Re: Character gender and you
Likewise, males should be more inclined to follow a male leader, whereas females should be more inclined to follow a female leader. Might I suggest that that be more an individual thing than a gender based thing? After all, some women may well think that a man would make a better leader than a woma...

Re: Character gender and you
Like I said; there's no need to bother differentiating; the average man is physically stronger than the average woman (using mean averages), but this is more likely to be nurture than nature, given that genetics don't just govern how you start but your potential as well.

Re: Character gender and you
I believe that's what they had in mind, though I can't think of many things (seduction or gender based societies aside) that women can do and men can't, same as I can't think of many things men can do and women can't (aside from gender based societies, as mentioned above).
