Re: Real Combat
History channel seems to dissagre with the whole no armor slicing idea you guys have. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDkoj932YFo LOL. Dude I didn't even bother watching past the point where they use a 1.5 mm thick deerskin as a substitute for "Leather Armor". Sorry but this video is plain...

Re: Mars one, anyone?
Although the second part of your post suggests that you are not serious, I would like to clarify my point. Of course they come from universities, that much is obvious. What I meant was that they may know a hell of a lot about the theoretical background of space exploration, but no one ever actually ...

Re: Real Combat
The samurai has a sharper sword then the knight. it can literally cut trough armour. the knights sword cannot. it is also quiker to mannuver a katana then a longsword. so ina thight space like a bar. the samurai wins over the knight atleast. The Samurai's sword is not "sharper" than a lon...

Re: In lieu of update 0.40.5
Are we talking about real windmills or in-game now? Because I really think this goes too far in terms of realism. Build it, it starts producing electricity. If we start questioning whether or not sth. like that is realistic, how about the fact that we are building generators out of building material...

Re: Mars one, anyone?
Never. Same reasons as yours, Assassin. Except for #4, I have to disagree there. If you don't bring your own toasters to assassinate, that's your fault. But the distance is not just about supplies. In case of an emergency, the only help available would have to come from 22 people who are probably re...

Re: Specs + Opinion
Hm funny, I have no troubles at all running the game with pretty high settings in 1920x1080. My setup is not bad, but not state of the art either. 3.4 Ghz hexacore (which really doesn't matter because there's no multithreading -.-), 8 GB DDR-3 RAM and a Radeon HD 6870, so it seems pretty comparable ...

Re: In lieu of update 0.40.5
Well seeing that my suspicions regarding generators were justified (there had to be a drawback), I'm glad I built those 18 wind generators :D And same as CalPal, I never got to build walls myself, because I got the game from steam and there it was 0.40 from the start. So, really looking forward to a...

Re: Real Combat
^^^^^This Judging from the fact that we post here, I'd say we all have plenty of time on our hands. So, regarding the Spartan/Knight/Samurai/Pirate scenario...If they all fight each other at the same time, I say there is no way of determining who would win. There are too many unknown variables unfol...

Re: Your top 5 games beyond Kenshi
Yea well, EB2 is for the Kingdoms expansion for M2, so I don't care anyway. I'd rather have them iron out the crashes of the original EB...just a few days ago it killed a campaign of mine. I was playing as Sweboz, my empire stretched from what's Norway to Switzerland today and from the Pyrenees to t...

Re: WOW im amazed
Well, I think it's safe to assume that we ALL played a lot of games. You have to be kind of a nerd to find alpha versions of indie games and THEN realize their potential when you see them.^^ I wasn't aiming to insult anyone by trying to claim I played more games then anyone, I was just saying how I...

Re: What is the most amazing battle/slaughter you've seen so
Two dust bandit raiding parties arriving at my base just after I finished building. Nothing like 20 guys completely armored, merrily chopping away with Planks and Fragment Axes at some punks in green trousers

It's confirmed that there will NOT be a multiplayer mode, at least not officially. Plus Chris stated that it's somewhere between really hard and impossible to mod the game for multiplayer.

I am in the same boat as you friend! This game has potential to be a classic, and believe me, I played A LOT of games. This is one game I truly look forward to. I would give my first born child to ensure this game sees its true potential. c': Well, I think it's safe to assume that we ALL played a l...

Same here. It's even weirder because I got my Dota 2 key sent to me by a friend who was in the same situation. Now I'm stuck with 18 keys myself.

On a side note, the armor trader in Catan is stuck on the wall next to the tower he should be in and you can't get to him.

Increasing dexterity and choice of weapons
Hey I don't know if this was addressed somewhere else, the search function didn't bring up any current topics. The problem I see atm is: I'd like to use Heavy Weapons, but I just don't see that in terms of game mechanics there's any point to it (other than applying blunt damage instead of cutting, w...

Although I didn't lose the whole squad, I just loaded my game and 2 of my squaddies have gone MIA. Waited for the save to complete and everything. First time this happened in 50+ load and save cycles.

Re: Games Workshop, you disapoint me
Well, luckily I don't have to worry about that, since I only play pen & paper and not the tabletop games. Still, I'm not surprised that WarCraft had much more success than Warhammer. Warhammer is far more complex, with a background universe so detailed it borders on insanity. Most people don't w...
