The baseball caps are a little weird, but I get a Mad Max feel from the game right now, so they seem fitting to me.philthymcnasty wrote:I hate the baseball caps on the traders. It looks stupid and ruins the theme

Re: A little help
In addition, if you see a recruit named "Infinite Wingwang", he'll initially ask for a ridiculous amount of money, but you can haggle him down pretty darn far. 5000, I think. He's fairly worth it. There are also other recruits that offer their services for 5000. I found two today in the s...

I really hope executions are implemented in the finished game. Even better if one of them was the option for your group to resort to cannibalism.

Re: Newbie here, some questions
There are currently two ways to make money: Selling and bounty hunting. If you encounter bandit leaders marked with bounty values, you can bring them back alive by stopping their bleeding after they are downed and picking them up and taking them to a police station. Dead leaders reward only half the...

If you think your group is the best, try taking on some of the small outposts (the circles on the maps). The stats on the guards are crazy.

I don't think there are going to be mounts or vehicles, however it has been confirmed that there will be pack animals.

[quote="Someguy"you get a sexy 2.1 extended katana.[/quote]
I've noticed on multiple playtestings that the katana you get is randomized as I have gotten both a 4 and 5 edge walker katana with very slightly different stats.

Re: TF2 hats
Hats killed TF2 for me. TF2 is 30% enjoyable FPS and 70% hatconomy. If there were pre-order anything, I'd rather see something in the game. Like a sword with similar stats to something else in the non-alpha-buyer version that has a special story/model (i.e. non-game-changing). Not everyone plays TF2...

Re: Military Weapons - Spears and other Polearms
I'd recommend the Naginata, as opposed to a spear. Considering the primary weapon in the game is a Katana, a Japanese sword, it would fit better. The Naginata is a pole arm with a difference: instead of a spearhead, it has a long curved blade. This way, it can be used both to stab and slice, potent...

Re: Periodic Saving
I think it's pretty much expected that we will have multiple save slots in the final iteration of the game. I can't even think of anything out there today that does not have more than one save slot.

.40.5 Randomly Disappearing Buildings
My squad returned from Fort Simion only to find that all previously built buildings at their outpost were missing except one. The remaining small shack also had some serious issues with rendering the interior view properly when someone was inside. The roof just flickered on and off and anyone enteri...

Hypothetically, you could clear out a settlement. I don't think there are mechanics yet to take ownership though, so you'd have a ghost town.

Also, if robotic limbs become a thing, then there is no excuse for not adding robotic companions along the lines of C-3P0, or other mechanical soldiers. Attaching robotic limbs to the nervous system would be very difficult and require tech that I don't think this world has. I can think of a great o...

Re: Map, 2 additional skills, and Faction ideas.
The developer already has plans to expand the map in terms of both size and variety.
I don't think there will be horses/vehicles/etc. for characters, however, the developer has stated he intends to have pack animals.

Purchasing is not in the game yet. You will eventually get caravan traders, but they will just mill around outside.
