Pretty sure that's common knowledge, on this board at least.
I for one really like the design that allows a "fail" state than isn't permanent. Most games end if the enemy defeats you. Few allow the freedom Kenshi does in this regard.

Re: Latest Screenshots
Not completely related: is Chris planning on adding any non-humanoid races to the game? So far, no Alright, thanks. Just wondering. I personally am not a fan of it, but I know it's something that gets mentioned occasionally when talking about sentience and such (usually moreso in sci-fi than fantas...

Re: Latest Screenshots
Anyway, screenshot time... He/She/It's alive! ...But it won't be in the next update. It's not ready yet. Also Chris is planning on releasing the update next week Ooh, nice. Thanks. And good to have a tentative timeframe for the next update. Not completely related: is Chris planning on adding any no...

Re: Criticize Us Here
And the point of supporting and participating in any indie game's Early Access, Alpha, Beta, or whatever development phase, is to go the extra mile and participate in as many discussions as possible. Essentially trying to create a digitized version of yourself within their offices that the team can...

So can I legitimately bump this thread with a *cough* even though the "Friday" tag is gone? Once a week perhaps?

Re: Criticize Us Here
It's not fair to generalize and say Steam users are all lazy, it's just simpler for them to stay there. I have accounts here, square enix's forums and Ubisoft's. Used to have one for Bioware's too. It's a whole lot to keep track of (I'm not active on ubi's at all and used to not be active here or at...

Re: Criticize Us Here
Keryyn, about your first complaint, the gate issue--that's a bug the game has had for a while with the pathfinding where your characters have to have a gate open to move around. In my opinion this is one of the most egregious bugs and one that dearly, dearly needs a fix--though it appears the proble...

"Here are our very rough notes on them so far: Hive based, serve their queens. When a queen dies, the subjects all either die or become lost “Ronin”. All male, except the queen. Males are impregnated by the queen." seahorse *CENSORED*! This sounds really, REALLY interesting if implemented...

Re: Criticize Us Here
Unfortunately we can't release finished features in their own separate updates - basically, all the new features need to sync up and be finished together in order to work. I've actually asked the same question before myself, here's an example Chris used to explain it to me... Imagine 2 mechanics wo...

Re: Criticize Us Here
The experimental has issues with FPS currently and many people has said they left experimental because it was nearly unplayable for them. I have a good machine and i do have some bad FPS at times. we will see when the next update comes out since it now has DirectX 11 and supposed to greatly improve...

Re: Criticize Us Here
^ I do think the comment about utilizing the experimental branch better is certainly fair. If stuff is complete, even if not balanced, having an update with it available would only be a boon to the game--everyone knows it's a work in progress, but indeed, they DO know it's a "work" that's ...

Re: Screenshot Friday!
Graffiti or not, its still better than a Microsoft font style. Major creativity points for the uniqueness. Even more if you can create an entire font in the future. :D Definitely. Unique fonts are awesome. The outpost looks pretty neat. I like the canvas "umbrellas," gives it a cool effect.

Re: Screenshot Friday!
Hmm. It's not bad, but I think Butta has a point about it seeming too much like graffiti. It's...it's very stylized. That's not always a bad thing, but it may give the wrong impression of the game. Better than the generic fonts with bloody erosion, to be sure, but it maaaaaaay need a bit more work. ...

Re: Criticize Us Here
That's nice and all but that statement was about 2 people working on the same thing, not 2 people working on different things. And populating the map is one of the things where 2 people working on it could definitely be faster because they could just claim and work on separate cells within the map ...
