Re: Question regarding animal companions.
I'd like to see someone hauling in a freaking Leviathan and ended up recruiting it this way. *cough cough* http://steamcommunity.com/app/233860/discussions/0/353916184343499936/?ctp=2#c353916184343766177 Long since fixed though. Like less than a week after that... What a strange coincidence... ;) I...

Re: What is the best method and weapon to train dexterity?
Oh yeah, I forgot to update over here too. After this test I ran one more on unarmed. It produces more xp per hit than the Katana (though only slightly), and it has a significantly increased hit rate. This makes it the undisputed king for Dexterity xp training. :) Considering that hand-to-hand is a...

Re: Fog prince hunt
They can also be used to train in Assassination after having enough stealth to stay hidden from Fogmen at night. Just knock them out, take the head, then run. If it fails, kite them into Mongrel guards, then loot heads and weapons. Just enough to get the needed food or a Skeleton Repair Kit, then mo...

Not to mention being restricted to 2 pieces of armor.
At least they won't starve to death, making the goal of a self-sufficient base much more doable solo.

Re: What is the best method and weapon to train dexterity?
Well, i ran the tests. Some interesting results. First off. Weight nor class have anything to do with dexterity training, at least directly. A lighter weapon will hit people more often, giving more xp over time. But it won't affect the xp per hit. The actual factor for the xp per hit is damage type...

Re: Question regarding animal companions.
Secondary option, and a favorite of mine that I am unsure if has been nerfed or not: 1. Knock out a hostile animal, but don't kill it. 2. Bandage the animal. 3. Have someone pick it up. 4. Dump the animal in a town. It will fight and get arrested. 5. Pay that animal's bounty. It should now be your ...

Re: Carbon, what is it good for?
Right now? Nothing. You can sell it if you find it as an item, but it isn't implemented yet. For the future, it's probably how you make steel. Or probably a fuel for most efficient generators, though refining steel does happen to need carbon to alter its properties, but since steel is necessary for...

Weapon/EquipmentReverse-Engineering
I noticed something while I playing in different runs: There are many gear and weaponry where there are no blueprints to learn for the player faction to produce its own by its best crafters. While the simple solution is just modding them in to show up in stores, but may not make sense when factions ...

[0.95.17] 0-Net Change Battery (Dis)Charge Exploit
Ok, why is it that I keep stumbling into exploits by accident? First the cloning exploit in the .72, now this. Apparently, I see no mention of this in the forum, so I'll talk about this. While I was playing in my new run as a Skeleton solo character and built a functioning base in 100 days in the F...

[0.95.15]Crash During Normal Outpost Operations
A crash report is produced during usual activities within a user-built base. While not able to identify specifics, the crash occurs during the period of wheatstraw harvest and bread making, both before and after import. Possible specific cause is during when the bread oven is full and a character as...

Re: Destroying Enemy Buildings/Discovered good way to level
All this talk about leveling reminded me of the .70-.80 version eras, back with the old map and one race. After a run with a default start that resulted in a squad managing a base, I went and made a trader start run, but this time, just one person living through the wastes with a large trading backp...

Finally Back on the Sands
After more than a year out of the game from actively play testing, I've finally mustered enough resources to build my first Custom PC that can not only play Kenshi, but have the potential to perform one-man game development whenever I have spare time to learn and prepare. My Lenovo laptop and old De...

Re: Food/Sleep buffs!
Just want survival options (food/sleep/energy) part of the choices to activate in Advanced Options. Gives food purpose, though may need to be processed to rations similar to what was seen in what barkeepers sell. I'd propose different tiers of food rations and its own food preparation desk, with hig...

The Lore of Kenshi is curiosity-inducing
Recently read the post on the first Lore, and looks like I have a first major faction to watch my back on the future versions with faction relations additions, since their ideals clashes with the ideals my saved factions go for. So long as the faction doesn't have beef with our units, I don't have b...

Re: Dissapointed
As a bearer of an average laptop to play games on, on top with life situations, I am saintly patient when it comes to waiting and watching over the game's development. Kenshi is not the only game I have that is still under development, just putting that out there. The paths and potential branches of...

Re: Police Armour
Welp, you've got three methods, methinks. 1)Create a mod that allows you to CRAFT the police armour. 2)Create a mod that allows you to PURCHASE the armour from vendors. 3)Create a mod that magically bestows you the armour in a GAME START. Basically, if you want non-faction Police Armour, you're gon...

Re: scroll the squads
Just a minor thing, but it would be nice if when your mouse was over the squad tabs if you could use the mouse wheel to scroll the list left and right. Like you can do on other things. Minor interface accessibility improvement, but players who have a scroll wheel in their mouse would benefit. Those...

Re: Will there ever be magic in kenshi?
Can't say for sure. There is the nuance that science and magic bore a similarity of understanding the workings of the universe. One person's advanced technology is another's magic. More importantly is that magic would result in adding a heavy burden of work to make the mechanics, though procedurally...

Re: Accidentally Open Shopkeeper Container -> Death
It would be better if you don't get a bounty for just looking at a shop's inventory. The shopkeeper just force closes the inventory screen and tells you "get your hands off my things" though only if they see you peeking. You would still get a bounty for lock picking of course. It's like y...
