Re: Basic feedbacks
The concerns you run into in the argument are gameplay viability vs realism. And while I'm all for realistic approaches to gameplay elements, IMO gameplay should be the greater consideration. There isn't a HUGE difference in how I see it currently working. It makes sense as it currently is, to a deg...

Re: Overzealous Slavers
The overall point has been kind of missed by now. The lore not being a factor, the slavers travel in packs, and there's an insane amount of them, and they just put whoever is knocked out in their path in chains, and no one even bats an eyelash. And if you try to and save one of your group, you end u...

Re: How to buy Skeletons?
The hireable NPCs seem to be random. I had to restart about 7 times when it first updated because I kept crashing. Some times they were there, some times they weren't. But as someone who made my time primarily of Skeletons, there is a huge downside to them that doesn't really get shown in the charac...

Re: Slaver's Bold AF
The sheer numbers is overwhelming, that's the biggest problem. Slavers turn people into a sellable good. In a devastated world that is harsh and unforgiving, not many people are going to be alive. So it doesn't make sense to have 1000 guys wandering around chaining anyone that's unconscious. In my c...

Re: Regarding staggering in combat 0.9.0x
I've noticed this problem, though not just specifically with animals. The stagger chances are way high, and the duration of a stagger is massively debilitating. Big hits or hits in crucial areas should stagger, and I like the mechanic, in concept. But a small hit to an arm shouldn't cause my guy to ...

Re: Should the cooking stove really require power?
I guess it depends on your viewpoint. From a realistic standpoint, power doesn't make sense. You'd use wood, or some other kind of "fuel". But from a gameplay standpoint, power makes more sense. Do you really want to have to go gather wood to use the stove instead of power? But I have noti...

Tech Tree for .90
So I browsed for a bit and couldn't find anything about the new tech tree, so I thought I'd go ahead and post the problems I have with the new one. This may get updated as I find new things to "gripe" about. Although to start off, I would like to say I like the change with the books, and h...

Unable to traverse pathways
So maybe this is just me, and I know this is a newly released beta, so I expect the bugs, but is anyone else not able to travel to certain places on the map? Like I can't even move along what would look to be a main road, it's just not clickable. Which cuts me out of about 90% of the map

Re: Dissapointed
I've played a lot of early release games, I like to be involved in the process when I can. As big a gamer as I am, I love a company that takes and inputs the feedback they get. Bethesda, in general and in my opinion, does a good job of this. This group is not Bethesda. They do not have a huge list o...
Re: Advice
This may sound dumb, and I hope you don't think I'm trying to be a dick, but fighting is the best way to get better at it. Pick fights that you may not win, too, as it makes you stronger faster. So far the other responses have said dedicate yourself to blocking at the start, and that's totally great...

Re: Where do you set up your bases, and why?
Everyone seems to go for different things. There's another thread in the forums where people talk about theirs. I put mine in that valley behind Trader's Run or whatever it's called. Near the mountains it has everything you need. There's a pass in those mountains so you have a way out through the mo...

Re: Bandit raids too frequent
One thing to keep in mind is that a mob, while it does require more resources to maintain, is more likely to meet with success. One of my fighters can take on at least half a dozen bandits with very little difficulty and receives little injury. This is due to how the combat engine works, and how doe...

Re: Town guards got wiped out after trader guild defended me
I don't know how I feel about a caravan guard being able to wipe a town out. Not just as a BASE. Understandably, if this particular caravan and it's guards are well traveled, and therefore have been the target of numerous raids and battles, then yes, I can understand THAT caravan being able to take ...

Re: Bandit raids too frequent
i. e. by giving bounties for hunting down animal squads (you could turn in a trophy like dog tails for a small bounty at the police station) I like that idea! Population control "quests" awarded by the local police. Or rewards for eradicating a nest that's particularly close to a town (if...

Re: Walls construction bugged
There were 2 sections where they moved up the ramp and built the wall from there, but that wasn't the case with most of the walls they were finally able to build with this work around. They were literally in the exact same spot as before, in fact two of those times they were in the ramp's physical a...

It's possible the more squads you have setup the more likely the no boxes problem happens. I have 4 squads and the first two just have blank portraits, but the 3rd and 4th squads have no boxes.

Re: Walls construction bugged
So on a hunch I tried something and it worked.
If you build a ramp on the section of wall that isn't allowing you to build, the ramp seems to set the point of construction to a reachable spot.

Re: Squad portraits are blank
This also happens if you load a game after loading a game before (so if you reload after playing the game for a bit without restarting). Now blank portraits isn't a huge problem, but I even have the problem of them portraits disappearing entirely, as in I can't tell where the boxes are to select cha...

Re: Weapon crafting Upgrade Required
I haven't experienced this bug, but to address a question posted earlier, your crafting skills do not affect the quality of items. That is solely based on research. Crafting skills only affect SPEED of crafting. To whoever is still having this problem, try importing the game with research and buildi...

Re: For those who think dogs and other animals are OP
I think you've missed the point of the people who've stated concerns over animals being OP. It isn't their stats or their strength, it's their ability to hit multiple targets with a single attack. Now while most attacks in the game shouldn't be able to do that from a physics standpoint, it holds esp...
