Re: Right arm and legs
I have to modify the animations to work left-handed only. I intend to do it later so you can fight left-handed when your right arm is disabled. Also later when both legs are disabled you will have to crawl about on the floor. That sounds pretty kickass, I take it being in a crippled state would inc...

Re: Whats better?
I tend to favour the plate armors supplemented by a mail shirt underneath, I got the feeling that the tradeoff of having generally higher damage reduction in exchange for copping the odd nasty blow that slips through probably comes out slightly ahead in terms of damage reduction, though I haven't cr...

Re: books to read
They are also the worlds 17th largest economy I think. But the second they declared their manifest destiny they would shatter links with europe. No one would trade with them and considering their emphasis on entering the European Union I can't see why they would attempt this. On top of that you hav...

Re: books to read
Its is getting a little fanatical but I quite want to get to the point were Turkey will re-create the ottoman empire. How he manages to justify that chapter has me really interested. PS: Its a great book, I highly recommend you read it if you can find it. That sounds a whole lot more probable...

Re: Suggestion: Inventory Item Rotation
Yeah, this sorta thing was brought up when I mistook the items too large to fit in the INV for a design mistake, I'm all for it, being able to store long objects vertically would be handy as hell.

Re: books to read
Currently reading a textbook about the world in the next 100 years and what is likely to happen to economies and how regional powers are likely to develop. Pretty heavy stuff for the most part, but enjoyable none-the-less. When was it published? have any of it's predictions between that date and no...

Re: Oh, the games you play...
Lately I've returned to Shogun: Total War 2 in anticipation of it's expansion, I've also been playing Dungeon crawl: Stone Soup, haven't managed to complete it yet (Merfolk Skald FTW), and dabbling in Nethack. And when I can I've been participating in the odd game of D&D 4e (hey, games don't hav...

Re: Some tunes inspired by / composed for Kenshi
I think some music in the larger taverns would be nice. Put a small band playing in the corner that you could tip to play a certain tune perhaps? It would be something to do while waiting to heal up after getting jumped between towns or some such rot, if you don't feel like spending the night at an...

Re: Suggested function; reactive pause
I think leaving an AI controlled Garrison of troops at each settlement to defend them from attack should be sufficient to repel anything but a determined attacker (ala Mount & Blade). Furthermore, perhaps if we have more than one large group of troops under our direct control at a time the game ...

Re: Suggested function; reactive pause
I guess this could be neat if one were to add an ahead planned route for your squad to take which makes them move along the route you planned on a mini map or w/e it might been planned from. Then I could totally have use of this, as once endurance gets added x4 with walking can take still some long...

Re: Suggested function; reactive pause
That was sort of the idea, it'd just be generally handy to be able to toggle autopause/speed drop upon entering combattxfirefighter wrote:i think his idea was if you go away from the computer. im thinking have it as a toggle switch to where you can activate it when you need it but the default is always off.

Suggested function; reactive pause
When moving in high speed mode enemies can sometimes seem to come out of nowhere, which means a quick fumble in order to pause to decide on either flight or fight. I think the addition of an option to automatically pause the game (or lower the speed to normal) when enemies reach combat range of your...

It does look pretty damn strange, especially in fast forward mode, where the rapid expansion of chests makes it look like your party are all having simultaneous panic attacks

Re: Topper Katana is too long for INV
There should be a limit to how much you carry in kg too. Like in oblivion for example. If you carry too much you can't move on, seems logical. I'd say have a big inventory and limit the weight you can carry. A combination of this approach and the relatively limited inventory space should be enough ...

Re: Topper Katana is too long for INV
Either solution would work, though Item rotation would be useful in general, I can't even count how many times I've played "inventory Tetris" in games and wished I could just rotate that axe 90 degrees.

Re: Topper Katana is too long for INV
The question is; is it intentional or an oversight? As a design choice it strikes me as counter productive, forcing a lot of buggering about with the inventory. :? *edit* Cripes, I just realised there are spades of weapons too large to fit the inventory, I feel like a bit of a berk now, as such a th...

Re: Dual wielding
Allow me to help Blxz: CG = Chaotic Good LE = Lawful Evil In Dungeons and Dragons (before 4th edition -- I don't know if it exists in 4th!), there is an alignment system that is basically divided in two ways -- Lawful/Chaotic, and Good/Evil (with neutral being in the middle obviously). This makes t...
