seems its really just kinda random luck until we get a way to make them

which hive villages do you see them in? I've been pretty dilligent about checking the three closest to Stack once a week (game time) and I still have never seen a single copper alloy plate. What do they look like? iron plates?

anyone seen them or know how to make them? I really like the outpost buildings but I can't seem to find a single copper alloy plate in any store or crafting station.

I am having the same problem except I imported from just before the beta release. Do pre-beta saves break something? I don't normally mind starting over but because there's only a small portion of the world available I can't seem to find some of the blueprints I would need to replace my equipment......
