my key didn't go through desura, just moaned at me that it was invalid.
so I bought the game again through desura instead for an extra 100 years of beard health (I hope it multiplies Chris!)

Re: Awesome!
*replying in here purely as it covers the same topic - game awesomeness* Hey Lo-Fi! when I first heard about this game I was watching it like a hawk, as the news died down for a while after noting you were heavily into development I thought I'd come back in a bit to see whats been going on a little ...

Re: Questions about In-Game Travel
Finishing off with Party control, in RPG's I like it when you can split the party to perform multiple tasks individually, will you be able to split your party into multiple groups or will they always be stuck together like glue Yeah I always hated that. In kenshi you can split up your characters ho...

Questions about In-Game Travel
Kenshi is going to be (from what I see at least) a fairly big game world, and as such characters are going to be taking long trips, so in this stead how would transport and travel be managed. Here is a list of questions that ran through my mind: 1. As well as the standard "on foot" walking...

Re: Some ideas and thoughts on leveling
I also came up with another idea, taking ideals from D&D "Feats" your statistic/skill leveling and Fallout "perks" (came from your mentioning of them actually) so we stick with the point system (gaining points for doing certain activities) which you can spend into stats/skill...

Re: Some ideas and thoughts on leveling
I personally like the idea of permanent+Progessive leveling as well. It would be nice at chargen to pick skills your character has a "Natural affinity" for, possibly allowing him to reach a higher tier. For example take this skill tree Unskill - Basic - Adept - Trained - Expert - Master - ...

Re: System questions
another question has popped up from general observation one of the characters on the Kenshi banners (just under the website menu) shows a person holding a sword in his left hand, he also has a scabbard angled for a sword for his right hand. (the character in question has a read cloak that immediatly...

Re: System questions
Thanks Chris thats great to hear! I personally like to hear that it's not too specific, I hate it when my inner perfectionist streak just won't leave me alone during character generation  on the other hand more questions have arisen in my mind from that answer: when you said you could modify po...

Re: System questions
well that is a nice and clear answer! thanks windexglow! on the bit about armour and clothes this has added another question for me will you be creating individual armor textures or will it be a case of "invisible armor" (changing the characters armor doesn't change the character model's i...

System questions
Hey Chris and the Kenshi crew! I was wondering if you go into some detail on how characters are going to be dealt with? will there be just an initial bit for creating characters or will you be able to recruit them in-game? and then detail; how far will you take character creation itself, will it be ...

Re: Kenshi Demo
I own a copy of mount and blade and I have to admit it's one of my favourite current RPG games. the only real negative I had was you could help other people become king but you couldn't become one yourself, which is being added in an expansion pack! and btw Chris it's good to hear you took on the M&...

Re: Kenshi Demo
the other thing was that the coding got done a lot easier, since the players found bugs and would inform them of the changes or in extreme cases fix it themselves and pass the code to the devs on another idea front for testing purposes you could use something similar to Infinity and segment parts th...

Re: Kenshi Demo
what would be awesome is if you put into place the Mount&Blade system they opened up the game really early (I think two years before it's final release(V1.0) late last year(2008)) and basically said to the community "here's our game, what's wrong, what can we improve, and what is good"...
