Armor Dye Bench
Right now I'm dying my squad's armor by keeping grass bandits and blood raiders locked in jail so they can wear new pieces of armor temporarily. This process works but it's kind of an exploit, it would make more sense if there was a bench where you could add dye to finished armor.

If you turn in the inquisitors the ninja patrols start showing up in other areas as well.

Is there a dustcoat blueprint?
I started a game in the new area and the entire town got into a fight, so some of the bounty hunters were knocked out. Took their dustcoats and noticed that the dustcoat is a nice piece of equipment with very good coverage and resists. It's a gray dustcoat, not the regular or short-sleeved orange lo...

Re: Thievery nerfs (balance)
That lockpicking change also makes it harder to loot ruins at the start of the game. That could be good for balance as well.

Re: city living
I like to start in cities now. A clothing bench solves money problems once your skill is high enough, but before that getting an ore storage container is very useful if ore is nearby, which it usually is. They can be placed inside buildings but that won't leave much space for anything else. Can't pu...

Re: Leviathan coast settling
I set up a base there once. Brought a team of experienced fighters with plate jackets. Leviathans randomly got angry and knocked out defenders, but usually ignored the camp. Think a wall will keep them out, as well as the beak things. Think leviathans can instantly kill weaker squad members, but thi...

Re: Dies the weapon QUALITY have any influence on stat gain??
Also figured that the rusty weapons were better for training attack because the fights lasted longer. As for strength and dexterity, it seems like higher quality weapons are heavier so strength would increase faster. As for dexterity, a heavier weapon might have an attack speed penalty that would sl...

New Desert First Impressions
Started a new game with an adventurer start and ended up in the new desert area with the UC cities. At first it looked like a much more difficult start but think the game might actually be easier for new players now. The inhabitants of the new area reminded me of the Hook. Without getting an early b...

This could be very dangerous in Admag, some of the town residents can kill a new squad member in one hit.

Re: Trees inside buildings (spoilers)
I've also seen trees inside the Hub buildings after they were purchased and repaired. I've also seen large boulders in ruined buildings which became invisible if the buildings were purchased and repaired but still blocked indoor movement.

Re: River Raptors...
They'll go after any gate if it's in their way. A while back I had a team exploring a ruin in the swamp and the swamp raptors decided to knock down the ruin gate. They provided a good distraction for the spiders inside the ruin so I bandaged some of them up afterwards. They don't seem to care about ...

Re: Town Mining
Tried that in one of my earlier games, did get attacked by bonedogs so it's probably safer if another character stays in the city in case a rescue is needed. Also, the Stack guards didn't always attack the hungry bandits, and IIRC if you loot bandits inside Stack the guards may get mad at your chara...

Town Mining
In the early game it can be safer to mine ore inside the town. I've seen several places where it's possible to do this. They're not HN or UC so faction shouldn't be a problem. The iron node inside the Hub seems well known. Bandits can attack while you're mining, but they won't eat your squad. If you...

Re: Pathfinding of Death...
I've seen the long range pathfinding problem before and think the gate might be causing it, especially if the gate is locked. Unlocking the gate has stopped my squad members from taking long detours before, you can also try setting up multiple gates at your base although this makes it easier for ban...

Re: Fishing and gathering
Agree that fishing should be in the game, there are already vendors selling fish and villages have fishing equipment set up. Recipes for sushi and other fish-based dishes could be added for flavor. Think every food item except for ration packs and fish can be crafted by the player right now. Fishing...

Re: Best Loadout?
It's hard to do a weapon comparison without knowing attack speed, all I see is the total damage and whether the weapon causes bleeding. Certain weapons, like polearms, seem very weak unless the attacks are very frequent. The combo attacks could also be important for weapon choice, especially the one...

Re: Better leather armor
I'd like to see plated leather pants and maybe a matching helmet. Right now there's a plated jacket and plated boots but regular leather pants have no cut resistance and the samurai pants greatly reduce run speed.

Re: Looking for a dangerous, flat area to put my base in
The Berserker Territory's on the northwest coast. I think the neighboring areas were the Iron Trail to the north, Purple Sands to the east, and Shrieking Forest to the south. Raptor Island might be nearby as well, haven't seen that yet. Think the Iron Trail had iron, copper, and fertility. The Levia...

Best Loadout?
After figuring out where the engineering blueprints were located my armorsmiths learned how to make plate armor. I've also found most of the weapon blueprints and since katanas got nerfed it's worth considering other weapons. I picked the plated jacket as the chest piece. It transfers 40% cut damage...
