I recently bought Kenshi and so far I love it. The realism makes the game so much funner and there is so much depth to it I can't stop playing :p. I really haven't found many bugs other then these 2 things:
My characters get stuck a lot and glitch when they are walking against a wall or building. Well this really isn't a bug but the weight system needs to be lighter because it is really hard to train your people by giving them a crap load of heavy stuff and making them run. One of my characters has 42 strength so he can carry plenty of stuff. Keep up the amazing work!

Well the system shouldn't be changed in my opinion. It meas that you shouldn't allways carry alot of swords, you don't see ONE soldier carrying 10 rocket launchers at the same time to sell them, don't you? So technically if you have too much weight, you should consider building a house or something and then a chest to store your stuff and lock the door every time you get out.

I think chris should increase it a little bit , im playing the demo so i can only have 20 strength, so i get only 25 points of weight to be able to carry, so i cant run with full armor and a 1h katana, with no backpack.

Actually, I have to agree with Mr. Suck here. At first I hated the weight system since my guy can't equip his armour that he has always had and still run. Suddenly I realised, this is full armour and I want him to sprint. This makes perfect sense! My guy can carry a huge amount of stuff if I just want him to walk, BUT if I am looking for a fast ninja dude then I need light armour and light weapons.

This makes sense from a realism perspective AND from a gameplay perspective. It also opens up a whole range of future research into alloys that are strong but slightly lighter for armour/weapons and other similar things. It takes some time but I have begun to love it.

I agree, but remember that there are no heavy armors in game yet. All armor there is at the moment is light or light-med armour. If you can't run with these, then how you can equip any armor and still run? :ugeek:

That's why weight system needs more balancing. These armors we now have, should be 'run-able,' and when the following are added, medium armor maybe 'jog-able,' and heavy only 'walk-able.' (Sry my English, didn't know other way to say it, hope you get it ;) )

Also, when exhaustion will be added, no one is traveling by running, it's only temporary to catch up enemy etc.

Traders who wander from city to city of course have to walk, due to heavy backpacks and everything inside it.

[EDIT]
PS. Seriously!!! What is wrong with my posts?!?! Why they aren't normal?!?!!? Why do they pile up like this :x :x   :x :x :x :x

Well, my guy can manage speed 55 with the best armours and a 2h katana. This is a decent jogging pace. He has strength of under 30-40 (going up quite quickly now dude to encumbrance). This makes perfect sense to me. As he gets stronger he will soon be able to sprint with the medium armour.

I'll admit he is running faster than I can carrying the amount of weight he has, I certainly can't do that for long. I do worry about when stamina is introduced as well though. We WILL need some sort of fast travel before that for it to be manageable.

As for your edit, do you mean how the posts seem to be more vertical than normal? Same for me too. but it appears to be only for our own posts since yours appears normal to me and I guess mine appear normal to you. must have been a forum 'upgrade' recently.

Also, shouldn't this thread have been started in our brand, spanking new 'suggestion' forum? This thread now off-topic for this sub-forum.

I realized this, but it still contains a bug :p I also didn't realize that I had a suggestion in there, I added the title after I was done typing it by the way.

How about if you are a teacher of like history, other languages, english, biology or even maths? That'd be cool to scream at your students 24/7  . Also what do you think of being like a phylosopher that can either be praised to or be hunted down?

What are you talking about? No, really? Half your posts are coherent but the other half are just really weird.

I'd just like to be something that is completely not related to warfare in alot of ways, because ALMOST everygame I know has fighting, shooting and sword-swinging as something common, which becomes annoying.

But that sounds kind of weird... I can understand where you are coming from with the thing about how most games are all about killing, but that wouldn't be very fun...

But combat is what kenshi is about, at least right now. Being a warrior, mercenary, bandit, ninja, whatever. Or a trader, supporting the warriors, bandits, mercenaries... it all revolves around the survival happening in this barren land.

How would being a teacher and screaming at people be fun?

Give it time my odd portuguese friend. Eventually you will be able to be a farmer and a whole range of things. I am not sure about a 'teacher' so to speak. But if you can manage to think this out and make a detailed, coherent suggestion then Chris might consider something.

I'd say your best bet would be to focus on the core aspects of the game. Look at current stats now; perhaps it will be possible in the future to have a character as a sort of trainer for other guys in various stats such as engineering and even the martial skills such as an army trainer.

If chris is interested then you might get your wish. if not then, guess not. But I don't think a job such as a history teacher has any place in the game since there is no way to quantify it's value in the game and it would have to be forced in. (and how do YOU learn the history in the first place?)
