I found Kenshi on Steam and have been looking for an RPG that will give me a good experience and is different than the WoW games.
What do you think of this game so far?
What would you rate it out of 10?
Has the developers made the game considerably better since you started playing?
What's the learning curve to starting this game?
Any other information would be great for me to decide if this game is worth while.
Thank you for your time.

Also, I just read this game is single-player. How does this change the mechanics of game play? Is it still enjoyable?
To some questions i might not be able to answer properly, you can try the Demo of the game which will tel you better than anyone what you feel/think of the game

This game is awesome and innovative and promising, but still has much to be added to it;bonafide10 wrote:I found Kenshi on Steam and have been looking for an RPG that will give me a good experience and is different than the WoW games.

It's too soon to rate the game, we will have to wait to give a full rating;
Yes they have, I have compared update from update and I've seen pretty relevant updates;
Dunno, but I hope it's as big as dwarf fortress' learning curve.
This game could sure use your money- err... I mean support. Also you could give suggestions to the game (although it seems that they have decided to stop adding suggestions to the suggestions list or it was some other reason), everything counts (hell, the health kits were implemented because of a suggestion).

Everything above is essentially it.
The learning curve is a bit peculiar :
If you come with the mindset you get from other games : you'll start a fight with some bandit squad at the start of the game and get utterly destroyed. After that, your second game and the following ones will be way easier since you'll be more careful.
The gameplay is pretty straightforward, same old controls as in other games, so it's really about learning to be realistic about your chances out there and you'll be alright.
So I'd say the learning curve is pretty forgiving (almost horizontal?) as long as you remain logical (eg don't attack an enemy that has better stats and better armor/weapon, instead you should lure them towards city guards and scavenge)

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Wish I read this 5 mins earlier. I just got myself into a scruff with some bandits. Lol1337 wrote:Everything above is essentially it.

Thanks.
God I love that about this game. The first thing the game teaches is how silly and ridiculous your expectations and experiences from other games are. I mean you seriously expected to go out, as one guy, who has no training, and no special features, and take down an entire group of people who kill and rob to survive.
It's quite a learning experience.
