Problem building wall

I am having issues building walls arround my base.

I place the gate and then all the walls arround the base.

Then i build the gatehouse but then my men wont complete the already placed walls. I loaded them up with materials and click build on the wall sections and they just stand there and do nothing. They wont even dismantle the wall if asked.

I am trying to build mk 5 walls and gate.

Anyone have any suggestions or a work arround?

I had a recurring Crash problem regarding the walls as well,

firstly the makeshift gate has issues of you not being able to lock it and walk away without your character unlocking the gate again,

secondly the main issue i kept seeing is my game was saved and everytime i attempt to upgrade makeshift walls to defensive wall the game crashes and gets stuck on "Not Responding" if it does unfreeze the game remains stuck in a paused status.

this has happened every time i reload the game and try again to upgrade the wall, however I left it for about 20 minutes after this happened again on the "Not responding" message, it seems to have just been my comp failing to keep up with the frame rate perhaps, as it eventually resolved itself, I had a good custom high spec pc, but this hunk of junk is a off the shelf desktop, so probably not the best to be running this game, but still runs it without too many problems

btw, love the game and it has so much potential, I had tried the demo version, but felt compelled to contribute with a purchase of the alpha version as this game will be a true classic once its finished

yep, we know about the crashes with building walls.

some upgrades depending on your computer can take a little while.
