Dogs are absurdley overpowered
I know that this issue has been discussed, but the people claiming that the dogs aren't over powered are simply wrong.
When a pack of dogs can wipe out a fortified city like traders edge complete with police, guards and all of the citizens then there is a balance problem.
Not only that, but they never leave. If they attack your squad, they hang around until everyone is dead. The only way I have found to get rid of them is to import to a new game.

in patch 0.74.4 i sat back and watched a pack of dogs get wiped out by the guards in Port South. not once but many times without me helping.
only time they had issues was when a full nest of them got into the town. but even then with my help. ( not by my choice at the time,) the dogs were defeated.
It seems that the Guards skills have been increased to be able to deal with the Dogs when they do come in. least that's what i saw in port south.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

My only problem with dogs is that their mouths are soooo big they can bite ten people at once.
I think they are fine as long as they can only attack one person at a time. but currently they can bite and hit everyone in front of them. I have had one dog take out a whole squad because he got the first bite.
And also I have seen dogs spawn more dogs. They are like Hydra, hit one it becomes two. I'm guessing that there were more then one in that same location and they split when they were hit. But seems like they are growing back heads.

did you continue the game ( normal loading ) from patch 74.3 to 74.4? or did you import?

I have seen one dog wipe out 3 guards within a few seconds because the guards were acting dumb and all in one spot in a corner in a building, but.......... I still think it's a bit ridiculous that the dogs can somehow dish out 5-7 attacks within a couple seconds. Against 3 guys.... So that equals out to 15-21 hits within a couple seconds...
They don't seem to be a problem to me, but I have modified combat slightly to have 3 attack slots instead of - I think the current default setting is 1 but it used to be higher. That could affect how my men and guards effectively deal with dogs.
It was better how it used to be anyhow IMO. 1 attack slot severely and unrealistically nerfs the "strength in numbers" and gives an even larger advantage to those with a large attack area. A guy or a dog surrounded by men SHOULD get their butts handed to them.
My tangent aside, adjust your attack slots in FCS and see if you still think the dogs are OP. I don't think they are once you fix the fighting mechanics.

I agree with the wolves being OP only in that their attacks can strike multiple targets that are stacked, which makes no physical sense. They're manageable once you have decent combat stats, but it takes well over 15 in attack and defense to go toe to toe with a single one, and even when outnumbered they can work over an entire team with little effort.
The other issue that I have is that they are not set to hostile.
They run in and my characters will not react to them until they are bitten. Which is too late.
I have them run into my compound all the time and the guards at the gate ignore them until the get inside a building and attack a worker.
The only way to target them is to select one and do an unprovoked attack. Then you can select another and attack all. If you haven't lost a leg by then.

The dogs are hardcore mode.
There's a pack of about 30 milling about aimlessly outside my small walled mining community.
They've already killed five of my once fifteen member squad on previous similar spawns.
I built near Port South and chose a creation option that makes them allies - so I just use my fastest runner from time to time to lead them to the huge Samurai + Police army stationed there to whittle them down when a battle goes poorly.
...until their next spawn.
My entire game has come down to dealing with wild dogs.
I'm about to line my walls with harpoon turrets, set everyone to gunner and just leave the game running in the background.

i think dogs are fine, though i do think they need perhaps a penalty for when they attack armoured body parts.
i mean assuming there bite isn't much stronger than regular dogs , they shouldn't be able to cause bleeding by bighting someone whose wearing what equates to plate mail. or chain mail not saying they shouldn't be able to knock it off or rip it off after some persistence. but i'm fairly sure a dog can't bite through iron/steel o.o
but i'm fine with them being in packs and being quick. though :d i also want a dog cage that i can stick them into an release when bandits come near .
