I had to bust open a safe in a mechanical shop to find a motor. Haven't seen any sold in shops, Hive or otherwise. If I remember rightly, they look similar to electronic components - so check carefully. My plan today is to visit every store I can, and rummage around all of the locked places until I am able to find an AI Core for my next mining upgrade!

Good luck!

Motors can be crafted on the robotics table. (mindslip.. can't think of the actual name of the machine atm..)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 16Gb
AMD Radeon R9 390 Series

The Robotics Workbench requires 1 electronics component, and 4 iron plates. Is it the researching of the table that requires it? I don't recall needing a motor, but maybe I've just since forgotten..

unless they have changed it in an update because the reason I needed the motor was to build the workbench ahah.

Yeah, funnily enough the motor stopped being a requirement right after people figured out where to find it.
