Just wondering where/how you can make or buy copper plates?

they look like building materials ( hopefully they fix that )

You can often buy them at Waystation, or else the Hub and Hive Villages tend to carry them, though not always.

As for making them, I'm not sure if you can. I haven't figured it out, yet.

Seems to me that an ore refinery should be able to switch over to do copper. It could be toggled over as simply as by what type of ore is placed inside. It seems intuitive to me and I expect that may be what's planned, if it's not already implemented and it's just like "Foraging Animals" where I'm like the only person who seems unable to make it work.

I'm starting to think people are just trolling about "Foraging Animals" working for them. Like, yeah, and I got the firebreathing unicorn mount! Anyone else get that one yet?

And for the copper alloy plates u can craft em. Or buy em at mechanical shops(these sometimes arent marked but if you get to a city click on the doors of houses it says in the name of the door)

How do you craft them? Or do you need to acquire the firebreathing unicorn mount first?

I dunno at what tech lvl or anything but i guess most people who need the copper alloy plates are pretty far into the tech tree.

So if it aint there and ur playing on steam verify the entegrity of ur game cache.

Smiley I'm going to crosspost your response to /r/Kenshii. I asked the same question as the OP and no one suggested what you did. Thank you; validating my cache as we speak.

this works for most games on steam if u notice crashes or missing content, so with every "big" update for a game i verify my files.

Ive also been reading up people looking for the engineering research which might be needed for the copper alloy plates.

So there you go, i had that engineering research bought the first time i saw it in the shop not knowing what it was for so i asked no questions about it nor do i know if its needed to research copper alloy plates. But just in case .

I found two of those engineering blueprints while scavenging in the new map somewhere. Won't spoil where exactly.

The Waystation construction vendor carries them. The stock is between 2-6 every 24 hours in my experience. On the plus side, since I've had my heavy squad sitting outside the Waystation gates waiting for the stock to re-up, Ive recruited 13 people of all races. So theres that.

I've verified the integrity of Kenshi several times via Steam-to the point where it comes through clean-but manufacturing copper plates still isn't an option for me. Is it a blueprint I need to find, or something that occurs naturally in the tech tree?

Have an engineering research.
Are far enough in the tech tree .
And verified ur game cache .

I'm trying to watch my spoilers. I've been enjoying discovering things out there in the badlands. One of my favourite places to blow my loot, I'd been going right past it without even knowing for quite a bit. Prefer to leave that fresh ground intact for new players as possible.

Advanced harpoonery? Now that is an arbitrary requirement.

Haha, well i just said advanced harpoonery cos thats prob the only thing u need copper alloy plates for anyway (for now)

The outposts require copper alloy plates. Building them is what prompted my hunt for an answer to my copper plate questions.

Getting advanced harpoonery didn't help. I still can't make copper plates. Also, I seem to be having trouble with vendors not selling them anymore. I used to be able to pick some up in Mongrel but my last 10 trips they didn't have any. It's like vendors inventory supply degrades over time.

What build are you on? Being able to craft copper alloy plates seems to be only available on the experimental.
