Unlike my other ideas, this one is very simple. Considering the prospected scope of the game, with mines and employees and a very widespread situation going on I think a centralized, overhead and organized HUD or command interface should be part of the final product.
I'm talking a map-looking thing that shows the location and details of all of your assets. You click on an asset on the map, you get information. You click a special button to organize assets in order from most employees, or highest profit, etc. Bam, easy. I would consider it a necessary part of the game.
I'm certain it's already an idea in progress and things need to be fleshed out first before a real HUD idea can become viable. Just sayin'.

What I do know is that Chris is planning to implement the ability for players to click on areas and fast travel (In a fallout II/Jagged Alliance II style). Perhaps when that is implemented there might be some sort of tree/HUD/icon that will give players more options. (besides travel) Either way, with all of the micro-management going on we will need something.
