Lo-Fi Games

Ok when i get hit i see 2 numbers come up. One is in a paranthesis and the other one is outside. I think that the one inside is how much your armor has reduced the damage by and the one outside is what the damage ended up as. Does anybody know what these 2 numbers truly mean? Example: 20 (5)

thats right, its the damage absorbed by the armour
