Is there a way to make it so npc's don't dump all of their food into food storage when they get to town automatically? It is rather aggravating to have to put food in every bodies inventory before leaving on a mission every time.

Also, you don't need everybody with food in the inventory when out exploring. You need to stock food in a backpack (don't matter if it's a humanoid or animal backpack) so the AI share when needed - so it's one backpack with food per squad (the solo reason I use the 256 squad mod it's the bigger squad size so you only need one squad member carrying food).

I guess in this case enabling (is on by default) "AI share food" it's more important - and less annoying - than disabling the "ditch items behavior" (that not affect only food, but all "dichable" items).
