I have been trying to find some good bandits to attack. my best guy has about 20 attack points so not that good but where can i train heaps and or really strong bandits to fight before i go onto raiding towns etc.

anyhints even some ways you train your men and get really strong easy

Run around the desert and find some guys. Send in your guys but leave one guy behind, out of range.

Stick your guys on 'block' mode and speed on max. Wait until you get destroyed. Send your medic in once the enemy runs away. hopefully you don't bleed out.

Repeat until your defense is HUGE! Like ~50 or more.
Then you can send your guys against towns in suicide runs (if you want to import your saves) or just repeat the same but turn defense off and give your guys some low damage weapons. This lets you get more attacks off to build your attack ability higher. Try not to overwhelm your opponents. This is training not war and you want them to survive as many hits as possible.

You can also grab a mod, with more difficult mobs. Check out the modding section, there are several ones out that suit your needs.

Edit: Oh and Eternal Vigilance: The Price of Pastry MOD was designed with this purpose in mind.

For best place to train I would suggest the central north westish area.
You can easily find a 3 man ninja group, cannon fodder mobs, and 3 man paladin groups to help you level quite easily and catch some nice gear for when the time comes to fry big fishes.

With the new updates has this changed at all if so what do you guys think is a great place to train now.
I think there is more factions so this should have changed

Depends how powerful your squad already is. I'm having only 2 "super"men and I train by taking down cities.

i'd say the north is still the best place to get bandits since the south has a lot of cliffs to go over which makes going after people really annoying.

It is really easy to just open up the construction kit and make bandits spawn more often, or change the stats so they are harder to kill. On my game i have changed the regular spawn group size so that the empire people spawn about 40 in a squad and bandits are nearing 100 just to make it interesting. also i bumped up the spawn rate so there are almost constant battles throughout the place. makes it bloody hard thats for sure as i forgot to do the town gaurds so towns can get trolled.

They are between 80 and 70. Though now I have 2 new party members who are 30-40.
