I presume this is not intended behaviour, but often while my people are dealing with the aftermath of a town raid I will get additional agro from man hunters.
A couple of my defenders have orders to kick out unconscious people from the town, but if the Manhunters (who seem to have my base on permanent watch) rush in and make one of the unconscious raiders a slave before my guy gets to him, it kicks off a kidnapping fight when he is picked up. I think there needs to be a legality check before pickup in these instances.

Also, Manhunters will break my gates down to get at unconscious raiders within my walls.

Finally, does anyone know if there is a NPC to reset my standings with Manhunters?

That might be part of another issue - your people might continue to treat NPCs (being members of an enemy faction) as an enemy/intruder/etc even when those NPCs have been enslaved (by another faction). I've gotten into fights with (mod added) slavers that way repeatedly because they enslave the bandits I just beat up. My people continue to attack them once they're up again even though they're now slaves of another faction.

Probably the AI needs to take into account if you're a slave of another faction. Perhaps largely those that are slaves - and not their slave.
