Cannot save, load or exit the game

Heya - I hope this is right place to report this, people redirected me here from Reddit.

I'm a new player and I'm having some issues when it comes to saving - after attemping a save and getting the "Saving..." message, no "Save Completed" appears afterwards, and from that point on all saves stop working. Autosaves still get triggered, but don't actually create any save data. Pressing the quicksave button does nothing, same with named saves. Loading saves doesn't work and it's also impossible to exit the game from the menu, as that button also does nothing - meaning the only way out is to force close the game.

After closing and restarting the game everything seems to work fine again for a while, though eventually the problem happens again. It's pretty annoying since every time it pops out I end up losing a good chunk of progress. Is this a known issue with a possible solution?
