Would athletics and agility be the same?

Another awesome update introduced encumbrance, which affects strength and athletics training. My question is this: Does the athletics skill include both agility (dodging) and running speed, or just the latter? I'd like to have some lightly armored and extremely quick fighters as well as heavily armed and armored ones, but I don't think the game takes speed into account quite yet. Any info on that? Any future plans involving it?

I am unsure about how it will work in-game but the words themselves have totally different meanings. So....perhaps they will be separate.

Agility should affect how many times you atack your enemy and how you do certain jobs.

If agility affects the number of attacks within a certain time, there'd be no point in having any good light armor. It'd be cool, but why would you give anyone light armor when they're going to get hit just as often as everyone else? I think dodging should be a skill just like defense, but that's just me.

I probably wont add agility. Athletics is pure run-speed. Combat speed is a combination of encumbrance, weapon weight, and dexterity.

I would think athletics would be something along the line of how long you can do agile things...

High Athletics- Being able to run/dodge/parry for quite some time.

High Agility- How fast you can run/dodge/parry.

I actually like this much better than my original thoughts. I assume though it's not in the game quite yet?

I thought it was. Check your stats and there should be an attack speed somewhere that is the result of all these factors. There is even a blocking speed too.

I think that Persuasion is better than bluffing, don't you think?

There's a skill that is called bluffing in kenshi and it's still locked, I think that persuasion/persuade is a better word to use.

I agree on the Persuasion thing. Either that or Charisma

Except that persuasion and bluffing have slightly different meanings. Much like agility and athletics; Teal and aqua; Happy and ecstatic; etc.

These things mean different stuff. So maybe bluffing will indeed be appropriate as the skill name. We can't know until we find out what it is used for.

How about making the agility stat affect how well a character can do sneaky ninja like stuff, assuming that's a possibility in the future. Stuff like climbing, sneaking, and reducing falling damage if climbing has a fall chance based on skill level.
