Question about Kenshi 2 regarding Technology

So..I have been wondering that the Kenshi technology itself weren't advanced and the current technology of Kenshi is pretty much the industrial era and since the game is taking place a long time ago as a prequel to Kenshi wouldn't the technology be even more terrible are we playing like Caveman level technology lol , well not sure but I did heard from armor king that there's was civilization before kenshi so im not sure maybe it could be tech increase / decrease.

There have been two major collapses we know of in Kenshi's history. The first empire was the original ancients as far as we know, they built all of the machines and massive structures. Long after their fall the second empire came about, they were slightly more advanced than the current world of kenshi, but still incredibly primitive compared to the ancients.

The reign of this second empire is the one Kenshi 2 will take place in, according to the lore we know about them. So tech level will be slightly more advanced at best.
