I never usually post content on any forum's but i don't exactly know how I'm supposed to suggest things to the game's creator or how to go about this so i apologise in advance if I've posted this in the wrong spot or if i have done something stupid but i just wanted to say that there needs to be an added feature.
I think there needs to be a place where you can sell more items too, something very basic as not to take to much time off the creator as we all would prefer the new research ideas and other things added to the game. I used to sell my looted swords and stuff to the trade shop keeps as their backpacks i swear used to be able to store multiple stacks on the item like the traders backpacks your men can get.
If he is already working on this, or someone knows a way to get this too him, or there is somewhere to sell items easily I'm just an idiot and haven't noticed the change then again I'm sorry about this post i just find it stressful trying to sell to the vendors since the .40 patch.
Thanks everyone <3

You seem to be doing the right thing.
I do agree though that selling in bulk is difficult. However, even though I've not used the feature I know the newest release has shops of your own that you can set up. Perhaps you will have more luck having a personal business shopkeeper to sell all your goods for you. You can keep him stocked with your loot and visit him periodically to check stuff out and give him all the new stuff.
Of course as I said, I've yet to test the feature so I'm not sure how effective their selling power is and if they are capable of moving large numbers of items in any real speed. It is however my only suggestion to help you, good luck.

So I wasn't crazy remembering this... this WAS possible before .40.
Ya, would like that reimplemented, if possible. Especially if you do the "Wanderer" start, this would help a bit, since loot selling is the first (and most common) income for a while.

Yeah it just needs something really basic, like the shopkeepers. It should have the items they hold then when you sell some items to them and close the box they should like auto clear from his backpack only leaving the items he was originally selling as if they went on the shelves and weapon racks in the shops so he can then get more stuff. It just sucks getting a full inventory of looted swords to sell for building supply's to get my base started and its like: arrive at town, move from shop to shop selling a few swords to each person just to make some cash.
This is really the only change i am in a hurry for, i can wait for updates and stuff but this I think needs something really basic that won't consume to much time added just to make the game more relaxing and easier until future money making processes are added. It just makes the starting processes and early gearing phases easier, in the future it could always be tweaked to add limits and stuff if the process of selling unlimited items to a vendor was considered to easy or something. Hopefully we get a small solution really soon!

Has anyone actually setup a shop that worked? I set one up, but nothing ever sells. Maybe I messed it up or something. But I didn't notice that with the new patch. 0.40.1 that you can no longer set prices on the containers, so maybe it has been taken out. Let me know if anyone actually does have a working shop on the new patch.
I'd like to know that, too. I have a small shop counter in a small shack and a large shop counter in a house. Both buildings are open to public, just like the outpost itself, but somehow no customers at all.Koren wrote:Has anyone actually setup a shop that worked?

99.9% sure it isn't working yet. I've had people turn up and look, but no-one has ever actually bought anything

But I agree. The new update has put all the elements in place but as Chris has put in the last update post, he will be working on AI scripts and jobs for the next update - so this will probably be expanded and workable on 0.41...
