TLDR: The title is quiet self-explanatory.

I would like to know, what music makes your gaming experience better (since Kenshi is still silent as a lamb). It can provide some information for the music designer too ;)

I a man of a lot of genres, i really don't mind any genre (from classical music, jazz, hip hop, all electronic music to trash metal, noise, experimental), but for KENSHI i favourited Dream Theater. It's pretty complex progressive metal - very moody, with slow progression which come along with the game pretty well. Also mexican guitars such as Tito & Tarantula or Rodrigo y Gabriela (yeah i know them from Rodriguez movies) feels great with the game...

I will try any suggestions you came with, since music is HUGE part of the game and the experience i have from every playing vary a lot based on music i am listening to.

I tend to listen to podcasts mainly when I'm playing kenshi (namely TGS and the occasional Yogpod) how ever when I do listen to music I just listen to music I like rather than something that "fits" the game, but I listen to indie and blues such as Foster the People and Jake Bugg sometimes Bob Dylan or sometimes the heavy.
I listen to reggae a fair amount too.

I found the Yoshida Brothers fit Perfectly for the Style of the game.
In fact I made a playlist for kenshi composed mainly of them and some other various artists.

even that topic was a re-post of another. http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=431
so next year if still no sound, im sure there will be yet another re-post of this one (ofcourse sound will in before that).

Anyway, The music i like to listen to while playing Kenshi is the soundtracks from Deus EX, human revolution.
The soundtracks are good background music, most of the time you dont even notice its there. there also from an action game so the music and everything fits into kenshi really well. The sci-fi aspect kinda works with Chris's robots too. So from everything ive tried, this is the best by far.

I feel fairly confident in saying that we'll have sound in Kenshi before January. It may not be October, but that's not an unreasonable timeframe to expect some basic sound, I imagine Kole wants our feedback on more than just his videos so I -think- they'll try and get some functionality before anything is finalized, we'll see.
