H2O, The Drought

Hey there everyone!

It's been a while since I've played this game and I wanted to get back into it, when I played this game a year or so ago I made a pretty cool story about my group and their progress.
I've been wanting to do something like that again except this time I have some RP experience so I am hoping that it will translate into a great story in the end

I think this time around I'm going to do a story line and post my progress with a post or so daily. I'll be giving all of my characters names and back stories as well as dialog etc...
I'm actually really looking forward to getting this started and want to know what you guys think.

So this is how it's going to go down...
- I plan on making daily posts (Probably 1-2 posts a day.)
- I'm going to play out the game and as I explore and various things happen I will create posts with dialog/images etc... based on what happens in my game. (I hope it ends up working out as planned... )
- Any advice or ideas that you guys have please don't hesitate to post below!!!

The Story
7 months ago... That's when it started... A never-ending drought that evaporated 93% of the worlds water supply. Most of the worlds vegetation was killed off within weeks and millions of people died from dehydration. As days became weeks and weeks became months, drinkable water became a rare delicacy that only the rich and the prosperous had access to, everyone else either died or had to fight for what ever water they could find. The world became a permanent desert with water becoming the most expensive and sought out liquid on the planet.

This is what life is like now...

Our story starts with a man named Kaishaku, he was lucky enough to have been close to an underground water spring that allowed him to survive the initial panic and chaos of the drought. He managed to survive 2 weeks in the cave system by eating creatures in the cave and drinking the fresh water. After that he decided it was time to pack up and head out, he wasn't just going to stand around and let the world end around him. So he gathered as much food and water as he could and left the cave system, only to find that the world he once knew was nothing but scorched earth and sand. He traveled for days searching for any signs of life, but his efforts were to no avail. just when he was ready to give up and let the sand bury him away he spots something in the distance, a town... a town full of survivors...

This is the town that saved Kai's life as well as many others... This town is named Black Scratch.
For the past 7 months Kai has been living in the town waiting and waiting for the drought to end... So far, it has only gotten worse. The towns underground water supply is starting to run out and bandit raids are on the rise. Since those 7 months many other towns and outposts have been established in order to house and protect survivors, currently there are two major powers controlling the majority of the survivor towns... The Holy Nation and Dead Cat, they have completely separate beliefs and are extremely hostile to each other. Along with the constant threat of bandits, outside city walls is a dangerous, hostile and waterless environment.

Kai is fed up... City officials of Black Scratch refuse to take any action and ignore all of his request to send out water search parties. He has decided to take matters into his own hands and create his own search party to look for supplies and water. It's a risky move but he ins't about to let anyone stop him...

So there you have it! I hope that anyone that reads this enjoys the story as much as I did, Please feel free to leave comments about how I could improve/add to it. i'll be posting the start of the adventure tomorow. In the meantime, here's a pic of our beloved hero!


EDIT: Unfortunately I won't be able to make posts as often as I want to due to work and school, I will still try to post as much as I can but I can't guarantee that I will get a new post out everyday.

(Sorry I was late to post the first part )

Here is the first post to my story enjoy!

Black Scratch... Home to a man named Kaishaku who is normally a rather calm individual. But unfortunately his usual personality has been interrupted by none other than the very city he lives in...

"Oh come on!" Yells a rather angry man. "Why can't you just send out a small search party?!", This "Angry man" is named Kaishaku... Or Kai, for short. "No!" A guard with a rather raspy voice exclaims, "We cannot afford to send out anyone! It is too dangerous." Kai narrows his eyes, "Bloody useless! I'll make my own damn search party if you bastards won't do it yourselves!", Kai turns his back and storms away in anger. He stomps in anger as he walks towards the far corner of town where his favorite bar resides.

Kai Sighs, "Man... I need a drink, today has been to stressful", He walks into the bar and takes a seat at the bar counter. The bartender turns around from washing glasses and notices Kai. "The usual?", The bartender says to Kai. "Yes please, but add a little extra rum.", Kai says as he rests an elbow on the counter. "Rough day?" Says the bartender as he gets Kai's drink ready. "Yea... It's been a real bummer of a day, no luck convincing the guards to send out a search party.", Kai says with a sigh. The bartender finishes up with the drink and slides it over to Kai, "Here, this one's on the house.", Kai smiles. "Thanks..."

After taking a few sips of his drink he hears someone to his right talking about something intriguing to a group of people. "Yea I heard that they aren't sending out anymore search parties" Says one man from the crowd, "What can we do?" Says another. "Silence!" Shouts the man sitting next to Kai, "The only thing we can do is create our own search party, now if we all work together here and pitch in money equally I believe that we can gather enough supplies and weapons to survive.", The group looks silently at the man for a second and then start walking away. The man looks around at the crowd walking away, "Oh come on! If we all help then we can do this, please come back!" Exclaims the man. Kai looks curiously at the man as he slumps back down into his chair at the counter. Kai smiles and says, "I'll help you."

The man sitting beside Kai looks up for a second, "W-what...?", "You heard me!" Kai says as he stands up. "I'll join your search party.", The man's eyes widen, "That's great, but... without any money to buys supplies you and me won't last very long alone...", Kai laughs and plops a bag of money on the counter. "Here, this should pay for mos of what we need until we can find another city or outpost.", The man jumps with joy, "Brilliant! My name is Koto by the way... and you are?", "My name is Kai... Nice to meet you."
