Turrets vs katanas?

I've been reading up and looking through the skill list and realised there is skills for robotics and turrets, I was wondering how this will work? When I think of turrets I picture machineguns with armour around them. How does one beat a turret with a katana or a bow?

Do to turrets probably using old tech, I bet that their ammo may not be so plentiful. Now my guess would be that the turrets have low accuracy and/or their reload time maybe long. Another thought would be turret-resistant shields, or the ability to block incoming projectiles with your sword (like Goemon from Lupin 3rd style). A turret can only aim in one direction, so while some of my guys act as a distraction I would take the others and attack it from behind (If it is in a fort with walls there is a climbing ability (which is inactive at the moment).

Turrets will be low-tech. Not machine guns, more like slow firing harpoon guns. I plan to implement some kind of sword-blocking or dodging skill for ranged defence.
