traveling with the map on

Hello, loving the game .

I was wondering if there's any way to have a condensed mini map up while travelling...it's nice to be able to drag it around, but takes up a large portion of the screen..The game is certainly playable with it up at its current size...but would like to tuck it away in the corner of the screen even more.
