What do you want next?

I'm nearly finished with version a11, which should get most of the major bugfixes out of the way. The first thing I'm going to work on is the character AI, adding intelligence, making AI squads heal themselves, throw in some AI scavengers too.

But after that I have a choice of what to start on next, and whatever I add will lead to different things I can add afterwards.

3 for the first choice lol

i wasn't sure what to vote between healing/buying buildings and endurance/fitness

but i guess endurance/fitness should come first if its easy to do. But i really would like to see crafting/research and co in the game lol

I say the quicker you can add features the faster we can hunt down bugs.

Second option.
I'm looking from game perspective, you should find a job to get money for buying buildings [yes, I know that you guys can get infinite amount of money just by bringing bandits to towns].
P.s. If endurance is that easy you may do it first.

I think you should work on the AIs a bit. Right now they just chase you FOREVER if you attack them. And people will just like stand there when theres a huge fight. (EVEN POLICEZ :O)

This early on I would have to say to focus on feature content. (buildings, crafting, dragging your lazy henchmen across the desert ect..). If you do it this way there will be a little more content early on, plus it would be another incentive to leery buyers. However, that Multi-threading idea should also be implemented early so performance can stay smooth. (At this point performance is smooth (great job on early patching) so feature content should be a higher priority).

I voted for the first option but, if it isn't a lot of work to add, I for one really need keyboard shortcuts. It gets so annoying clicking on everything to open and close it. Pressing 'M' for opening/closing the map, and 'I' for opening/closing the inventory would make this so much faster. Maybe I'm just too twitchy from playing too much Heroes of Newerth...

I don't mind either way, hell I could be the only one that wants this, I'm waiting for more depth than killing bandits (building).

I think stabalizing and working on Ais would be best.

getting the big annoying jobs out of the way will make everything down the line easier, so i voted for multi threading.

I think that's what chris-the-great is doing right now (if I read his post correctly), so his question was what we want after that...

I'd hold off on multithreading for a while yet -- there's no need for it until we can manage our own faction and the world gets bigger. Performance is great as-is, even during fights with dozens of people. I'd like to see sleeping/resting and doctors added in -- right now if you're injured you basically need to idle for a 5-10 minutes on fast-forward to heal up, otherwise you're risking life and limb with every battle.

Imo the lack of multi-threading makes Kenshi look and feel very much alpha like. Loading processes seem very bumpy, the game often freezes... Map loading managed in a background thread would boost the roaming experience. :geek:

Option 1 for me, Sure I'm sick of having one guy obliterating and letting the trainee watch and slaughter only when the enemies are thinned down but... Research? Buildings?!

Clownsteady will get my Seven-Samurai treatment

All of it needs to be done, and I don't really care in what order. Although if you do the hard stuff first the rest will feel like a breeze =)

Wouldn't it be cool if we saw a dieng bandit. And we use our feild medic skills to save em. Or we sasved a bandit from the police. But wait! Not done yet! What if we could recruit the bandits we have saved?

Hi all !

I voted for more factions/AI. (more interaction is always good)

Then I'd like resting/healing/building/research and so forth. (This is the meat of the game for me)

Then I'd like multi threading. (probably gonna need the game to run more effeciently with the above done)

Then endurance/fitness. (this will give finesse to the above work)

Then missions and jobs. (last because I'm least interested in jobs/missions for other factions) note: I barely did anything for any factions in M&B Warband either.

I voted multi-threading. I know it's a difficult thing to do, but as the game grows bigger and more stuff is added to it it'd be even more difficult to do, seeing as then many aspects would have to be revisited/rewritten to ensure they work with the multithreading system. Whereas if multithreading is implemented first, you can ensure stuff works correctly and then only have to worry about the usual bugs.
