Lo-Fi Games

Will there be boats and islands and pirates? that perhaps we could use/explore/go to ? having a base on a boat travelling the seas with my crew fighting off pirates would be kinda fun o.o course this would probably be way off but curious if perhaps we might get these at some point.

Boats are unlikely that i know of.
as for islands don't know. we haven't seen the new world map yet. or had any leaked info on what all the biomes will be.

we already have a version of pirates, aka dust bandits and hungry bandits, they will steal you blind.
and cannibals will just steal your booty. so carry some spices with you just in case.

Pfft Pirates and Bandits totally aren't the same thing , for one Pirate songs are way better. an there musicals tend to be better too! plus if your not at sea you can't be a pirate tis like a rule of piracy

They're the Lords of the Sea! . . . just not the actual sea.

While actual moving boats are probably not going to be a thing(according to the reddit AMA) i would really hope that they could at least still be static buildings.

When i saw this thread, those are the first thing i thought of.. There were lots of really nifty boats on those concept arts that made me wonder.. Lots of other stuff. too.. The art being used by the current menu screen in Kenshi is one of them! That little building made people wonder just what kind of technology level stuff was going to appear in Kenshi.. I was quite surprised when i saw that as the new menu screen image...

i must have forgotten about those concept drawings.
but we still don't know if they actually will be added. it pretty much would take one of the Design team to confirm it or not.

Not gonna lie, having my own island for a small outpost/fort would be pretty sexy.

I can already see the game over sign when that thing destroys all of your maxed out men xD

Considering one of the towns is called "port south" and we have tricorn hats already, i think this is quite feasible.


Why are these cities united? My guess is that they will be independent city states. like on islands and stuff, like feudal Hiroshima province. And we will have samuari lords, a holy empire, and other stuff.

considering how huge the map is supposed to be, i would be surprised if we did not have boats.

Then again, not every concept makes it into a game. So its a wait and see thing. But the part of the map that port south is near, that large salt flat, i NEVER build bases on that, because i have this paranoid fear that one update in the future, it will be covered in water.

Considering that water is another huge graphics option too, leads me to believe that it will be a huge part of the game.

Yes, that is the problem.
Near Bark and Heft, there are locations that looks like rivers and lakes, and usualy, they have high water and fertility.....but I don't want to have a submarine base in the next update
