Okay guys Loving the beta version right now. The new map is gorgeous!
Haven't explored even half of it and have been eaten several times by frogman.
That is a really freaky way to go, I'm not sure if it's cool or gross or what, guess it's just awesome!
And I'm loving the need for food, I actually have to worry about actually surviving.
I have stole everything to eat in town and now i'm looking for some place to buy stuff. seems my barkeepers didn't spawn in so there is no one to buy food from. I'm getting nervous.
(spoilers)
And valley with the giants, I chickened out and left it for later. Awesome job guys, awesome!
Well worth the wait.

It seems like every race except human and shenk (SP) is hated.

Haaa....
Started a new game as Freedome Seekers, they found the freedome close to the notaccesible swamps. thought i could handle the food demand until the bakery is running, i was so wrong.
Got greeted by some bandits which i survived to get a short intermission until slavemongers were passing by to scrap the scraps while they fend off the 3rd banditswave which was passing by, after the mayhem they were giving away free shackles. now my Seekers are happily slaves with stuffed bellys gone far far away seeking stuff for a new lord which isnt me

Yeah being a Hiveman is becoming quite the pain in Holy nation territory. I've begun to foster a deep hatred for them over the course of my game...

they went after my shek, why i dont know. There was also a robot in the bar i hired and they attacked my party for hiring the guy that was already there. There's no way im not wiping out the holy nation when more of the map is unlocked.

Yeah i have learned to build a camp outside the towns and leave my non caucasian characters outside.
I also go in at night to hire any non caucasians as there are fewer guards out and I can run out of town with them easier.
Gotta say I'm really impressed with the AI for making the holy nation bigots. It really does make moving around their territory interesting. Avoiding patrols and hiding out. It's way more interesting then just being able to go anywhere anytime.

I think the only nonhuman holy patrols attack are skeletons, the rest they just don't want in their towns.

Yeah I've decided to make my newest settlement right down the road from some nice Hive Village. Beak things are a real menace now though...but sure beats being hounded by the Holy Nation.

Yeah those Holy Nation fanatics don't like animals nor other races. I I left few time alone a shek outside the town gates while I was trading inside, and after a while they get attacked. Ai is great thou. I try to put to bed an injured Shek but e
The shop guard always take him and drop his body outside the building. Merciless ! Sometimes they come down to my camp and ask me why I have a beast! Because I cannot fight back, for now, I keep telling them that they are my slaves.

I am currently unable to play 90.08 due to consistent crashes. Which is a shame, I was really enjoying myself. Its great to see Kenshi come together like this.
The mentioned racism, the hunger mechanic, the truly nice world map. I haven't gotten to outpost building yet as I was still roaming. But from what I've seen so far I am looking forward to that bit as well.
Ps. Sign me up for the Holy hunt.

Upload your crashdump.zip files into the bugs forum area so the Dev can look at them and see why your crashing so they can try and fix the issue.

If you haven't already you can reduce graphic settings(distance view, disable shadows), close any other applications when playing maybe. You can monitor your CPU/RAM usage because the game is very ram intensive (I think I saw 6gb ram usage). It will be eventually optimized
Personnally I have 16gb ram and the game runs well, except some FPS drops and freezes, especially when loading areas(I just pause until it's playable)

I just read this in the news on steam
Currently, 0.90.0 is very heavy on performance and RAM, these will be optimised further over time.
For performance issues: Reduce the terrain detail and view distance and turn off shadows.
For low memory: Reduce the texture quality and view distance.
You can't load old savegames but you CAN import your squad without buildings and research.
The update is only available on the "Experimental" branch at the moment, because I'm unsure of it's stability. (you have to right-click on Kenshi in your Steam games list -> properties -> betas tab -> then choose "experimental"). The old version will still be available through Steam in the other branches.
ah no wonder, at that time i was playing kenshi while browsing with firefox... usually it was ok,
i'll try running kenshi without running any other program later.
thanks for the tips

I'm loving 0.9 now, the new world the new.. EVERYTHING, almost. So are fogmen the new cannibals?
That sure is an interesting take, but I do love the previous cannibals a tad more! Eitherway, good work but I do have a few concerns. Particularly starting in Holy Nation territory. While thankfully they are no longer immediately an enemy, there's quite some issues with the slavers and they seem to have some form of infinite spawns, my goodness I see them everywhere when someone is down.

Fogmen eat you much faster and eventually should be immune to the poisonous fog (which isnt poisonous right now).
Im sure cannibals are somewhere else in the map though, they're on the factions list after all. Cant wait for the playable area to expand, just searching the current one for all the little hidey holes took me quite a long time!
Any game that lets me feel like im really exploring is magnificent, and kenshi does that. Im not just looking for quest markers or completing a chore list, but looking for the interesting features of each town and how i might make use of them.
