Hello,
I just finished downloading the game. I am having issues with the camera and other basic functions. Is there a guide somewhere?
Guide
you could try this, not sure it will have what you want though.

Yeah checked that out. It answered the camera issue. However it didn't say anything about how the characters level and i cant find an "EXP meter" of any kind to see my progress. My Band of four keep getting beat down, the only way i am able to make money is by guard pulling which isn't helping character growth at all.
I also cant seem to figure out how to put my toons on "bodyguard mode". I will have one guy go rushing in and getting stomped quickly only then will the other three help. I hope i will be able to come out on top one of these battles. I have been spending most of my game healing lol

Click the stats button beside the map and invintory ones, there is no one single level. you just have to compare your stats with the bandits. you can see theres by clicking on them, it will be located on the far left.
Getting knocked into the ground doesn't improve your stats; you need to at least survive the battle. So bring the bandits back to the guards like you have been doing and then join in the fight. If possible, try and draw some aggro towards you. Then get you guys into 'block' mode. They won't attack (and so attack won't level up) but you get a +20 bonus to defensive skill. Once you can get your defense up high naturally then you can start working on the attack by disabling block mode and using your naturally high defense to survive enemy attacks.
Also the EXP meter comment made me chuckle.

So i have been messing around and found a good way of leveling skills early. Instead of hanging around the citys. I follow empire/paladin patrols around and fight with them. The free loot obtained is nice as well especially if you can overwhelm the patrol with bandit pulls and the occasional paladin/imperial get knocked out. I ninja looted several Imps while they were getting bandaged and was able to equip myself with decent gear early on.
Money wise the game is nice to you, with so many patrols out there.. all you have to do in the beginning is buy a trader back pack and scavange dead/incapped bodies littered all over the Desert. In one game i ended up with a really nice set of .7 armor and a Katana that did 2.2 damage. (The best I have found so far)
Questions:
1. I was wondering what the cap on stats and weapon skills are.. Also what effect Str/Dex have on your character.
2. I noticed there is no visible speed stat on weapons. What is the difference between a 1.1 damage katana and a 1.1 damage Topper?
3. Does character weight determine anything. I haven't noticed much of a difference, in character performance when my toons have filled trader backpacks on and when they have no bag equiped.
4. How do factions currently work? If i kill the traveling merchants, will i eventually become kill on sight to their guild?
5. will my faction relations reset when I start a new game and import my squad? or does the faction standings follow your characters?
6. Currently if you raid a city (I havent gotten this far yet) will the people killed respawn eventually? Or are you able to create a ghost town?

1. Str and dex affect things. Dex does blocking speed and maybe blocking chance? Also increases damage with cutting weapons. Str increases damage with blunt weapons. Mouseover each stat and it will give you some information about it.
2. I am not sure but I think the weapon weight affects the attack speed. So a topper, being heavier will attack slightly slower. Don't hold me on this though, I might be imagining things.
3. Characetr weight, at present, doesn't do anything. In the future chris has indicated that it will affect fatigue and ability to build str/endurance.
4. If you atatck someone you become an enemy of that faction. I believe it is immediate and works across all units of that faction worldwide.
5. If you start a new game then you are starting a new game. Importing the squad just brings the squad's stats and equipment into the new game. This means all faction relations, vendor stock and other stuff is re-created freshly.
6. The people will stand back up again, very rarely do they actually die from their wounds. Unless you sat around for a long time attacking them each time they stood back up to keep the bloodloss high. So, a fully knocked out town will come back to normal again, but I have never managed to KILL a significant proportion of the population to notice if they respawn or not. Worse case scenario, you can just restart and import.

Appreciate the information. And im sure others who look at the forums for the first time will appreciate it too! So little information on the game at this point.
Something i just learned is not to use the chests in the hospitals. I tried to use them for storage however my stuff apparently deleted after a time. Wish there was a place to store stuff!
