Hello people,
yesterday I tried to write new dialogues for a faction I invented. To make it easier I copied some dialogues (Flotsam Refugue for example) and changed them. But after I was done, I realized that I also have changed the dialogue lines in the original dialogues. So I wasted one day of work. Do you know how to copy and rewrite dialogues in the right way?
Thanks
How do write new dialogues?

Writing new dialogue is pretty straightforward. Just go to the dialogue group and create a new one. Name it. and start with add root. From there right click the line and add child. to the right there is the details about the line. who says it, eg. me, target, target if player etc. If you just want your faction to shout things out (ala shreiking bandits) then you keep it always 'me'. If you want the player to communicate too. you will need to attach it to a dialogue package...i could go on..

Thanks a lot for your answer. I could try it this way. I wanted to copy and rewrite the dialogues because I thpought it would be easier to do it that way. When I invent a faction which considers The Holy Nation as an enemy it would be easier to do something with the Flotsam dialogues. At least it would be easier to have the structure of such a dialogue. But I guess it is not possible. ) Thanks for your answer again
PS: And I am not an native English speaker. It is easier to see the old dialogue to see the vocabulary when I write something myself.
