Random Idea [Dragon Ball Z]

I don't know why I thought of this but it would be really awesome if there was a mod that gave you the Fusion ability from Dragon Ball Z. Like you select a character and the right click on another character from your party, then select the fusion option. The two characters would then stand next to each other and preform the Fusion Dance. Once they do it, one character is created that takes half of one name and half of another, like say one character was James and the other one was Garrett, the new character would be Jamett! Each characters abilities would be added together and doubled (because the fusion dance in Dragon Ball Z makes them way stronger). Maybe the fusion character could take the weapon 1 from the first character you selected and the weapon 2 from the second character. Pants and hat from character 1, body piece and shirt from character 2.
I don't even know if this is possible but it'd be pretty wizard if it was.

Apart from the dance, the fusion should be easy to program (by chris) but for modders, we'd need a script language for that. And lets just say the final character takes the best gear from his two fusion materials
When I was little I did the fusion dance with my sister

ahh memories

So it is possible! I wish Chris was a hardcore DBZ fan, but even if he was i'm sure he wouldn't do that.
How hard would it be for modders to do it?

For modders, can't be done as of now, Should be in the future.

Well then sir, I look forward to that day
Edit: Why is it impossible at this time?

Also tools for animation/modeling, probably.

The actual tools we have allow us to add/change content (eg create new swords, change an existing faction, ...)
We need a coding tool to allow us to add new functionality to the game. (eg right click a character -> fusion option)
I don't know how exactly animation works (only know you need those .skeleton files...) but i guess if you want to have a fusion dance, you'll need a tool to make new animations too

I'm pretty bored right now so I want to know does anybody else have any other Dragon Ball Z related ideas that could be made into a mod someday?

you can use the models from zeq2lite(opened source, might want to check the licensees first though). unfortunately I think the models are in md2-3 format, so porting the animations over to ogre3d format may not be possible.
getting flying and super fast melee in may be a challenge.hopefully we also have access to the AI routines too someday(so they can be made to use flying too).
what planet would you set the mod on if you were making it?
