Hello,

I am trying to consolidate all the clothing and item mods I use (for better control over distribution and balance). I figure the best way to do this is to merge the mods gradually into one.

However whenever I try to merge 2 mods, I get an exception. The message is "An item with the same key has already been added." I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. Couldn't find any information about it anywhere. It sounds like a generic windows error message.

I've tried running FCS from exe, running as admin, running from steam. all same result.

It seems that in order to merge, the base mod has to be higher in the load order than the one you are bringing in. So I have my empty 'Clothing' mod up top and am trying to bring in the ones below it.

I can provide the stacktrace if requested. I have attached a screenshot of the window.

Please help!

Can't be certain without knowing exactly what is conflicting, but my first guess after reading that message is that the same item already exists in both mods. Or at least something with the same SID does.

I could be completely wrong, but that's what I'd look into first if it happened to me.

Thanks. Is there a way I can view the IDs?

Yesterday, somehow, I was able to merge a mod with an english translation of that mod. I'm not sure why I didn't get the error that time -- I think it has something to do with load order, I was shuffling them around and trying different combinations.

You can view the SIDs in the FCS, when you open an entry it will show its StringID (a.k.a. SID) at the top of its entry. Finding the conflict between them would be difficult though, and lots of manual checking.

Merging mods with the same item in both not a problem.
I am completely failing to make it crash. Can you send me a bunch of stuff so I can reproduce it.

Sorry for the late reply. How do I send you stuff?
