Wandering Traders

I have been working on a mod, but I have a problem.
I am trying to make traders that roam the desert. However, the shopkeeper ai goal does not work, and the wanderi g trader ai goal is not working. Or do I need a specific backpack? the large trader bag does not work with it.
Is it implemented in the game?
If so, what are the requirements for it to work?
