Well I downloaded the demo, then figured I'd buy the game. I first activated with steam, then opened Kenshi through steam. But now I don't get the window prompt to enter the actual game code and I'm stuck in demo mode.

Yes I did search through this forum, and no one seems to have the same issue I am having. This sucks man I can't even leave the first city, and everyone else is getting replies asap but my post sits here for hours and 1 person replies saying they can't help. Ridiculous

Steam version is DRM free! So if you download through Steam, it is already the full version, no need to enter a key.

Thanks a bunch Chris. Wasn't sure if I needed that CD key with steam or not.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but having just checked the game on Steam for the first time in the last few weeks, I would just like to thank you for removing the long-in screen on Steam. I was unable to play the game before that, and this obviously solved my problem. ;)

I'll explain: I purchased the game directly from you very early on, when both the name and key were needed to play it. I couldn't play the game at the time either with the key supplied (apparently because of a character in my name, "~"), and at the time I believe you solved my problem by giving me another key and log-in info (which I don't know where I put it).
When the game showed up on Steam, I completely forgot about my original issues, checked my purchase email confirmation and activated my key. It activated just fine on Steam, but when I went to play the game, I couldn't pass the log-in info because I started experiencing the same errors I originally experienced because of my used name.

But now, after this recent update, I'm finally trouble free!
