Error during validation process

Any idea how to fix this? My brother is having this issue when trying to install from desura

Seems like a desura problem... can you connect to the server for other games?
Maybe your firewall blocks the port access...
i do not know what stopped the download like that, but try it again without desura, you can use your validation key for downloads other than desura.

Ah, alright, but can he activate it on Desura another time with the same key if he would try with another download?

Yes. Chris doesn't want to act like all those big pubishers that try to hinder piracy much to the detriment of the paying customers (blizzard, EA, to name just these), so you can use your key as often as you want without worry.
But be assured that if you use that power to do evil, you'll get
at least banned

Blizzard and EA? Nothing compared to Ubisoft. They take the cake when it comes to hindering paying customers.

I meant ubisoft, don't know why i wrote blizzard

but didn't have the motivation to edit it as they are all the same.
But EA did pretty bad with Spore too... don't know if you played it, but you can install it 3 times (three) and then it's over... if that's not a kick to the face of the paying customers... it's like they are forcing you to pirate Spore
