You know, I think this would have been a mistake. Warcraft, was originally going to be Warhammer. I think Game shop pulled out then. In that case it was adventitious for blizzard because it allowed them to make a game that was the best for their technology. This success developed their dogma, which eventually made them incompatible with Gamesworkshop's.

They weren't always like this. Warcraft really brought RTS to the masses, Diablo brought rogue-likes, Warcraft 3 introduced the RTS RPG, and World of Warcraft ....well it changed PC gaming forever. Now mind you, I dont play WoW. I respect it though. In the same way I dont do heroine, but I have no doubt it makes people feel good...its just not quite my thing.

Torchlight 2 may not be as long as Diablo III, but I suspect it will be innovative and more fun to play.

Well, a mate steam gifted me torchlight 2 for my Birthday. Looking forward to it.

Does anyone actually know the date it comes out? Steam just says 'Summer' (which is now FFS. Its the summer solstice today, how much more summery does one have to get?)

I was looking for that myself today...and I found nothing. I am surprised its not out now, I thought it was delayed due to diablo.

That diablo 3 came out is good stuff for Torchligh 2, they get alot attention to the genre also free commercial for thier game to, which they cannot afford, so ideally they would wanted release it one month behind diablo3. But they also dont want to release a flawed product so thats why they not given out a deadline yet, they want it to be a great experience.
And summer is long period, but atleast they didnt say sometime during 2012... (which they did 2011)

ha i see where i goofed.

i knew i had it, but ill download it when its out. thats what i meant!

and yes... she feels left out but its nothing a game would fix. sadly i have to give her some attention every now and then. shes worth it though!
