Hi, I am Sooner535 a member of the forums here and buyer/supporter of Kenshi.

Being as this is off topic I figure I will put this here for you guys, I recentally wrote a book well more of a collection of poetry. It is on sell at the Amazon store pages and I would appreciate any help by purchasing it as the money will be going to my college fund so I can go off and do great things (sob story help? lol) but seriously if you like poetry buy it and please spread the word for me as I am trying to get some money together and would love the income these days

I think you'd have much better luck if you were to post an extract or two from your book. Therefor people know the sort of material they'll be looking at, rather than going blind. Just an idea, though.

If you live in the United States then you will have to sell A LOT of books (The price of collage is here is just insane ). However, it is an interesting and different approach to making money, good luck.

I have a eye disease which pays for most of my collegge but I work a job and I write poetry in my spare time so I was KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) and I figure why not? I mean who knows maybe it will pay for the other tid bits but ya I will post a sample just give me a few

Tournament of Death:
Back in the age of spear and sword
there in a glorious town of stone
was a competition of flesh and bone

This would be like none other held
and the victor shall be beheld
as the greatest warrior in the land

Thirty men entered this tournament of glory
and all but one considered worthy
out of thirty one was mocked
one who's entrance almost locked

For this man had no jewels or crown
all he had was a stick all brown
this man finally accepted into the thirty
walked on humble and not worthy

Four rounds fought without a death
and everyone stood and held their breath
for in one corner stood a prince
and the other the man with a stick

“A battle to the death” the king yelled in awe
as guard gave them both a sword
the battle raged on between prince and low born
until finally one over the other finally stood

The man with the staff looked down at the prince
the king stood and yelled with a wince
“Kill the man who's honor is gone and earn yourself the honor he lost”
but the man with the staff turned to the king and yelled aloud
“I will not kill this man on the ground”

He helped the prince to stand and looked around
“Kill him men, he had broken the rule”
the king yelled like a raging mule

The guards set the man's head on wood
and the prince walked to the man who once stood
“Why didn't you kill me after I had lost?”
and the man looked and answered with this
“I am not here to win or to kill you my friend”
then his life came to a sudden end

That day the town was forever changed
for the contest would never be the same
for now the contest would have no death
all because a man with a staff

Today a statue stands for the man
to remind all of his sudden end
the prince stands now as a king
and remembers what happened in the ring

This isn't bad, but I'm no fan of poetry, my apologies. However, if you put this up on Amazon, people who stumble by might be more inclined to buy. But, that's just my thoughts. Good luck!

in the meantime I am working on the second of my poem books and an actual book, the book will be a medieval story focusing around a king losing his influence over his armies and kingdom while an evil leader decides it is time to strike the focul point of the story will be on two twins who know not they are twins. Soon they will find themselves with mysterious power and work together to destroy the enemy of their king (along with the armies of course) what ya think?

id say it might be a tad cliche but the real talent comes from how the author develops the story. so with that said go for it!

sorta like magic power each one being a different one, there are two main characters and a sorta main/not main character that pops in constantly.

The main character will be a very noble knight looking for adventure while the other will be apart of the enemies armies looking for a way out.

As the two meet they find themselves twins and get their power and help to fight evil
