I remember ages ago chris took down this website for a few days to protest sopa, unfortunatley cisa was passed as a last minute rider amendment to the omnibus budget bill, that was intentionally delayed until the last minute to prevent a veto.

So, thats that i guess.

Did you honestly enjoy having a degree of privacy?

I, personally, really hate my privacy. The government needs to know all weird things I look at while in incognito mode. In fact, I will now make it my personal quest to look into the abyss.

Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act. It basically allows the government to collect data regarding our internet activity. They don't need a warrant. Nada.

All hail big sal's pizza! Home of the brave!

You should read Snow Crash, if you haven't already. It's related to what you're just talking about and an amazing book. Also, you like second life, so I know you'd really dig it.

haha, I mean...umm...I find it mildly entertaining when people don't realize that nations like Canada and the United States are registered corporations.

Corporatism is so alive and well most people don't even realize they're corporate assets.

Most free country in the world was New Zealand some time ago. Number 2 Netherlands and number 3 Hong Kong. USA was on place 7. Well perhaps after this dropping from top 10 but I hope not.

edit. That was a few years old article and there is many ways to count freedom so there's probably different looking lists in articles.
