Lo-Fi Games

Had a really nice dream about a game yesterday. A RPG / RTS hybrid, like a mix of the old isometric Fallouts and a RTS (it had base / resource management + open world RPG exploration, like Kenshi or Fallout). The setting was a world just on the brink of collapsing (economically and due to crime/riots and pollution.) The characters i were in control of were some military dudes trying to uphold the chaos, a last stand. The situations they were put in were often not very "hero"-like. It's now rather vague in my memory, but for example some riot that went wrong and turned into a complete masacre of rioting civilians.

I was enjoying the heck out of it, completely immersed, and then the unavoidable, i woke up, haha. First a very pleasant feeling, ahh, what a truly wonderful game this is, can't wait to get back, uh wait.. DAMN!"

Anyone else dream about games and come up with interesting ideas?

Yes I can find myself dreaming of games sometimes and I hate it because they disturb my dreams.

Also you feelt awsome after killing tons of civilians? *cough* good for you sir, recall me not to be in the same nation if a crisis would uprise!

Haha, no not that particular situation, the experience as a whole was fantastic, especially the mix of RPG and RTS, a rare mix, often it's RTS with a hint of RPG, this was more RPG like, that feeling has stuck with me, i want to play such a game hehe

And yes normally when I sleep about games it games im currently playing/played and it goes in wierd loopes sometimes or reliving things I've done in them and so furth and I annoys me very much as I understand im dreaming when I do that so I want to change radio channel but most times cannot do such thing.

I remember some months ago (or years) I dreamed about going into some sort of castle... I had to find a key that was hidden behind some boss (don't recall what he looked like).

After taking the key, i went to the entry hall balcony and jumped through the rosario over the door (the window was round, don't remember the picture)

And you know what, after that, i dreamed the exact same dream again, but now i had the knowledge from my first time through, so everything went faster. I clearly remember diligently jumping through that rosario willingly (while the first time i was more following the flow than in control)

I once dreamed about Minesweeper for an entire night. I'm not sure but I think Hell would be a lot like that.

I don't dream of game's but when I'm programming anything, not just games. I often dream of making them. Usually by morning I have a few good idea's and start (re)writing the code before I have to leave for school. I usually forget how the idea's come about though.

I never got to win. That was the worst part.

I have had a recurring dream that comes up every few days/weeks that is much like a game. Its not an exact science but I seem to be continuing from some sort of 'save' each time. Although the game varies wildly each dream, the story is gradually progressing. Quite odd and a little hard to define exactly what it is. But I know your feeling and how terrible it is to know you will never play it.

As for nightmares, I had a fever dream once where I may have been semi conscious (enough so that time went at real-time....as in all night took all night) and was dreaming of some horrible turn-based game that could be vaguely warhammer 40k related. Except it was a computer game and was terrible. Things were running so slowly and I had to watch each turn. I can't describe how horrible it was.

when i used to play zelda:link's awakening on the game boy for stupid hours a day, i used to dream about it actually in green & black.

now i dream in yellow & black.
