If it is going to be renamed at all (which seems dubious), I'd think "Kats" would be the most appropriate new nickname.

I don't think renaming it should be done, but i think some npc's should refer to them as just credits

I'll be honest, when I bought the game, launched it, and seen the currency was cats. I busted out laughing and nearly started crying. But now I'm really attached the name "cats" I'd be really disappointed if they did change it. Please keep it.

I thought it was a bit bizzare until I realised it was just a contraction of 'Catan', which I think sounds pretty good. So no, keep it.

Well, I'd rather leave it as Cats, because cats are awesome in real life.

The C-Bills of the Battletech universe could actually be Cat-Bills. People being people, it just got shortened over time.
