So as the topic states, we need stretchers, or something along the lines of it. I don't like leaving one guy overburdened and walking, while carrying his comrade in arms back to base or to a town when he is incapacitated. My squad just rushes ahead, except for the newbies who stay ahead but not as far.

Situation for a stretcher:

Squad A encounters a patrol of Dust Bandits and attacks. The new guy in Squad A is incapacitated and the rest are wounded, with some who can't carry the new guy(severe arm damage). The new guy was carrying the stretcher, and two squadmates (who aren't badly wounded in the arms) unpack his stretcher and lie him down on it. They lift him up, and begin the trek back to base, going faster than with one guy being overburdened.

Another feature that would make this game interesting would be stabilization(better known as stopping the bleeding and allowing medical personnel to move the patient). It would require little field medic skill, but wouldn't require medic kits(cases are shown that you can stop bleeding by hands, or with pieces of clothing).

Situation for stabilization:

Squad A, a recon team of three, notices an enemy patrol of two and engages. Squad A is slightly wounded, but has no field kits to heal their limbs. They use the stabilizing function(a re-coded medic function, that stops bleeding first, then inquires if the first aid provider has medic kits). They stop the bleeding and await for medical attention from the outpost they are either walking towards, or hold position and wait on the medical responders.

this should be added to the suggestion lists. I think its a good suggestion but first of all chris will have to redo the medical system because at the moment simple first aid and some waiting solves all problems. If you suggestions were added now i wouldnt bother using them.

Chirs will be adding "animals of burden" as stated in his interview. these mules will be able to carry goods and i think injured people too

This may be because I have a some what established squad that I think that I prefer just picking a beaten team mate up with one of my guys with high str and he just runs full speed to where they need to go instead of having two guys pull something out of their inventory to do it and leaving an extra person vunerable. Plus stretchers would likely need 2 hands where my main guy carrying someone can back down three or four guys with his katana in one hand and a squad mate in the other if need be.

Completely understandable. I dont think I would use a stretcher for this purpose either. Eventually, there will be slave capturing. There needs to be some means to transport prisoners en mass. A human or beast powered cart would be great.

Agreed, be nice to have a slave/prisoner wagon like you see in movies, pulled by a few beasts and such. On that note the mechanic if implemented would probably allow you to take friendlies en mass to a bed center which could be useful when larger squads exist, fulfilling the OPs wish to some extent as well.
