Ive actually stopped playing kenshi for the moment not because its not fun anymore but because im pretty much dominating. ive researched all i can and built every building. im not really into slaughtering innocents and good guys so all i can do is fight bandits and its a bit too easy now and i dont want to have max level troops and own every building before the game is even beta.

so what im hoping for is some things that will hinder my ability to level up my guys so fast. and also some sort of epic projects that will draw the ire of most if not all factions to make the late game last as long as possible. or maybe even just plain old jealousy or fear of your growing strength as a motivation for all the factions to one by one turn against you or form a coalition. (that said it would also be cool if certain factions you have always helped and never fought or hindered would stick with you through a sense of honour)

also some sort of slow and temperory erosion of your characters stats if they are not involved in combat for a long time. such as a guy working a loom or distellery who has a strength of 20 will see his strenght and sword skills slowly drop but only temperoraliy as in it would go to 12/20 for strength and when he got back into carrying large loads or combat it would go back up to 20 at 3X the speed of a normal level up. but when it hit 20 drop to normal exp gain. any ideas on what "projects" could be worked into a game like kenshi would be cool please. especially those that would make you somehow affect a large region around it and the populace.

What I think the game needs, more than anything else, is much larger but rarer bandit groups that no one would willingly attack with anything less than an army. If you see anything like that approaching from the distance, you need to gather all your guys and get the hell out of dodge, because you will not survive that many bandits with less than 10 people, especially if they're not all that elite of soldiers.

Perhaps some bandit groups should also be able to level up, so a group that has, say, a long history of fighting other bandit groups, can potentially become as strong as your own party, if not even stronger than the guards or sand ninjas. Never mind what would happen if sand ninjas could also level up...

That being said, the other features you mentioned would also be pretty cool, sans wonder-esque projects that attract everyone's attention and takes ages to complete.

i agree with your post about bandits levelling up but would go as far as to say that everyone should level up. i would rather see less people in the world but they are persistant rather than heaps of people who are randomly spawned and change everytime you leave a town. even if it means that its possible to kill your way from one side of the map to the other and leave only one town with inhabitants and wait for them to breed and expand again. the wait would be worth it. and yeah having particular bandits who, through luck and skill have somehow earned fame. would have recruits flock to them. making their group just as dangerous as yours, if not more so. id personally welcome back those days where i run from some fights atm. since now all i do is roam around hunting bandits and never losing.
