...remove hills, rock formations, level the ground ,etc... in a given area ? Im thinking of this as under the construction feature, as a way to prepare an area for various constructions ?

So, any plans for ?

Tho a good thing don t think that will be one to be done, never seen a strategy game with such feature (there might be i am not saying there isn t, just saying never saw), so i guess this wouldn t either nor i see implemented and to be honest i prefer without, you gotta adapt to the terrain not the oposite xD.

Nope, not planned and probably won't be planned because if i remember correctly Chris-the-dev himself has to "jump hoops" to change the map.

So no terraforming. The only thing i could see as a possibility would be a map editor to add stuff like rocks, trees etc but nothing like terrain leveling or such.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Need help? pm me or any other mod.

The idea of being able to create large base platforms that we could construct buildings upon, has been discussed although it hasn't had any formal acknowledgement so far as I know. In a way this would allow for fairly diverse plains to be leveled. This would keep Chris from having anything to create anything more than huge "platform" buildings with huge foundations (and some stairs that would fit into them) that we could slot together to create a large city in the desert or mountainous terrains. However, that seems to be more feasible and if it will not be a part of the core game the Medieval mod seems to be adding something akin to that for castle construction.

...that would work and would be a nice solution.

Even in Machu Picchu they used advanced engineering to create irrigation systems on the hills which still stand today without the danger of mudslides. There is no reason not to put something like this into the game, especially when prospecting (as of .69) makes things very limited in terms of where to put your base/which resource you want to collect 100% efficiency

Except engine limitations, budget, and performance.

Just for reference, that platform feature request that Neko mentioned is here: That's not up to code! Solving untrue buildings
