So, I recently revalidated my install of Kenshi on steam, and noticed that even this late in the development, it still redownloads settings files as part of the install. This is harmful for two reasons:
1. It undoes the settings changes people have made previously.
2. People who don't know that the settings files are redownloaded think that their game files were actually broken.
Virtually every game instead uses a system where upon starting the game, it scans to see if a settings.ini file exists, and if it does, read it, if it doesn't, MAKE it with default settings. Please make the settings files be generated by the game, instead of part of the game's install. I literally cannot think of any other game that has them be part of the install files, like Kenshi.
