Let to build early wells, walls etc later in the game.

Let me explane the idea: On the later stage of the game you have the developed technologies for some essential buildings but they improved versions needs more materials to build and the most important - electricity to work. Of course it is not a problem for your main base but for example if you want to errect a small outpost or for example to grow something in another biome (cactus for me) I fo not need to make a generator etc but just want to dig old-good manually operated well, surround outpost with simpliest and cheapest walls etc. Now after developing new tecnology you can not use older ones. But in some game situation I think it is better too keep the choice.

just click the arrows around the name of the item. an it will cycle through the various tiers of the item in question. it also does this for various storage items.

also most areas can support a small wind generator well enough for a 'small' out post.

use the arrow keys and manually switch what you want to build. you always have access to the early build items.
