Lo-Fi Games

I know that I will regret this if it happens. But I was thinking that there should be the chance of a shark or other dangerous creature to attack swimmers. Mainly I'm already watching for something whenever I swim out to an island or something, so I figured that in the ocean waters there should be the chance for a Shark to attack a swimmer. it's not hard to add, as most animals are already submerged when they enter the water. so they can attack from below. But it would make swimming much scarier.
And you couldn't fight them off with large weapons. you could only use short blades for stabbing and fending. There could also be a new spear polearm, with a fishing spear variation, that could be more effective at defending and fighting in the water.

I was thinking of sharks in the oceans, and some kind of smaller biting fish in the rivers.

I was also thinking that there should be alligators in the swamps that can burst out of the swamp waters to attack.

With all the cool wild life in Kenshi I think that these ambush predators have been over looked and would add a huge new amount of stress to our squads daily lives.

The main issue with this is that people aren't able to fight in the water, so you'd have no choice but to insta die,

So unless they add the potential to use boats it seems like an imbalance.

Which if they did add boats i think in a world like Kenshi something more along the lines of a Kraken might be better, you think your safe as the ship moves along an your characters are stuck fighting the tentacles trying to protect the ship.

Gators wouldn't be to bad. it would Make you ask if its worth the risk of crossing in one spot over another,

I was thinking that you would only be able to fight with limited weapons in the water. Like short swords or spears. Anything that needs to be swung would be useless. Just like the issues with fighting indoors or out weapons would have an option for usefulness in the water. And your fighting would be directly effected by your swimming skill.

It would be so great to see underwater animals, but in the other hand I think that there is no need to make characters fight while "swimming". It wouldn't fit Kenshi for me, but of course If there is underwater animals like sharks and big calamars or krakens, then there must be a way to hunt those beasts, so it would be interesting to implement water vehicles (boats or something...) where characters can attack with spears or harpoons when they're in the boat.

I'd love to see that. Oh, and fishing. I want to cook my own caught fishes!!
